Yep absolutely. I think my point is that although we are playing well, we’re not the incomparable rugby gods that some are making out. Rebels and Brumbies can def knock us off.

I’d caution some of my fellow Reds fans from going the early crow here. Yep we won and won well, and that’s worth celebrating. But the Brumbies are a good team filled with excellent players. I really rate Valetini, White, Miller etc, and don’t think they deserve the flak they’re getting here...

I’m a good luck charm for SLC. Just flicked on the SLC-St Peters rugby stream - tuned in with 20 to go, Lauries down 22-6. Came home flying, scoring a converted try on the siren to win 23-22.

Correct. Villa were better in many regards (ball skills, scrum, lineout) but didn’t have the composure to get over and ice the game. Lauries scrambling defence was excellent. Villa has every right to feel disappointed, but not at the ref.

Personally I really like the idea of it being a Champions League kind of thing where only the top two teams of each comp qualify. If it’s done right, it’s an elite, next level mini tournament that every team is desperate to qualify for. The kind of thing where fans would get behind rival clubs...
