    Reds v Waratahs, round 19 2014

That would make for a god awful game on saturday

    Reds v Waratahs, round 19 2014

Ha! I'm loving the crowing from the Tahs fans before the inevitable choke. The Tahs really have been the best team in the comp this year and should go on to win it. I think it's worth pointing out that you need a bit of luck to win the Super comp and the Tahs have been very luck in avoiding...

The success of League players in Rugby Union

The only positions I could see him playing would be centre, or a wide ranging 6/8. He's very quick and agile for a man his size, even more so than Sam Burgess. He also has a nice offload. He's like a stockier version of sonny bill. I'm not so sure he's a test backrower. If he played in the...

i'll check my diary but im pretty sure im free this weekend

    Wallaby Watch 2014

Yeh I thought Horne was good on the weekend. Still not sure whether I'd want him starting on the wing, but it's an option to consider I guess. I'd probably prefer Tomane, but I really don't know how solid he is in defence. anybody? AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) could do a good job containing Savea

The road home - Super rugby 2014

i actually made that prediction on the basis that the Highlanders would take at least 3 point for their last two games. but they didn't even pick up one point against the tahs

you think? the blues season is over. the chiefs should be more motivated

The road home - Super rugby 2014

true but i dont think the brumbies or the chiefs will lose

Waratahs v Highlanders Sun 6th July @ the SFS

If they win this week, itll be interesting to see whether cheika decides the rest guys like Palu and TPN. I realise they get a week off anyway but id be looking to minimise risks of injuries to those blokes before the finals

The road home - Super rugby 2014

I reckon the final log will read something like this:- 1.Tahs -57 2.Saders - 51 3.Sharks - 50 4.Brumbies - 45 5. Highlanders - 45 6. Chiefs - 45 spots 4 to 6 might be in a different order depending on who picks up bonus points but the Force and the Canes are Goooone!

    Wallaby Watch 2014

Link should choose Badger for the same reason he chose Timani on the EOYT last year. it makes sense. i just wanna see us beat the all blacks. i couldnt give a fuck that he's leaving. im not saying keep selecting him for the rest of the year, but we might as well play the best team available...

    Wallaby Watch 2014

Why shouldn't we play him? He's our strongest choice atm at 11 and is our best option against the Blacks. we have possibly our biggest match of 2014 coming up, NBoth teams of lengthy winning streaks, we need continuity. I reckon cummins would play a cracka too. Normally i'd say players...

    Wallaby Watch 2014

I'd probably play Cummins against the All Blacks in Sydney. You might as well let him have a farewell game, Tomane is only just returning to the squad

    Aussie Player Exodus

It seems to me that the ARU has essentially agreed to a Sabbatical. The only difference is that Cummins will not remain under contract with the ARU. This seems inconsistent with their publicised position. Who is the ARU kidding?

    Aussie Player Exodus

Interesting to read your comments Braveheart. I certainly don't propose to know the answers but I am also one of the people that believe the ARU needs to move with the time and come up with some mechanism for enticing players to stay other than just "you will be eligible for the wallabies". I...

    Aussie Player Exodus

Badger Gone! ouch. That sucks. I'm a big fan. On the field the Wallabies can replace him (Speight, JOC (James O'Connor), Tomane), but not off the field. One of the few rugby players that is known to the mainstream public in Australia. The ARU clearly just don't get it at times. This is just more evidence...

Waratahs v Highlanders Sun 6th July @ the SFS

This game will be won by the Tahs up front. From memory the Reds dominated the Clan in the set piece before the June test break. Tahs should be able to replicate. Defence needs to be top notch tho.

Western Force V Reds 5th July

Haha. @ RugbyReg - nice work snapping up that underdog status. Nice to see the Reds blooding some new players for next year. The result on the weekend doesn't matter a whole lot so I like to idea of giving the new guys their first taste of Super Rugby. Agree re Slipper playing THP. Given the...

Western Force V Reds 5th July

this game is shaping as a fascinating contest - funny that a month ago I had no interest in seeing this game (which I suspected was a foregone conclusion). How the tables have turned. I honestly would be shocked if the Force won this one. The Force were just horrible last week and the Reds...
