true. i got the impression he was going to try to 'walk it off'

he actually tried to stay on the field. I was confident he'd be ok. Hate seeing Hammy injuries tho. they can really linger

It may have been crap that they were comments from his coach. I would have thought that a fair bit of time goes into working on goal kicking technique. Lilo has possibly been concentrating on other parts of his game. Lilo is unquestionably a very good kicker that is a bit off at the moment. He...

    Wallaby Watch 2014

I think Lilo is firmly in the frame for a world cup spot purely as a specialist goal kicker. His kicking form over the last month or so has been shit, but we all know that he is in fact a superb kicker when on form. Larkham was suggesting that the problem is he hasn't had a chance to work on...

Waratahs vs Crusaders 2014 Super Rugby Grand Final

70-80k is a bit of a stretch people. Considering the tahs v brumbies game didnt sell out i dont think we'll see anything above 60k. 55k would be decent. Let's go Tahs!!

a world 15 is always so subjective. We certainly have a number of players that would be considered in the top 4 or 5 in their positions. Slipper is probably one of the most underrated players in world rugby. Beast is one of the most overrated imo. He had a really great Lions series 9 years ago.

yeh im still uncertain who link will go with as the bench lock. Both Skelton and Horwill have their advantages. I'd like to see how Skelton goes in the finals series before i make up my own mind. I'm probably leaning slightly towards Skelton at this point in time, as he offers something...

Robinson wouldn't even be a second choice loosehead, but given his experience he should be getting the nod for third choice. Slipper is fast becoming a world class LHP and one of the first picked imo.

Hard to criticise Cheika given the tahs season, but it is pretty clear that his lack of attention to scrum is part of the reason Robinson and Ryan are no longer in the fold for the wallabies.

This is also a nice time to reflect on the quality depth we have atm. Considering we still have the following players to return before the WC - Moore, Genia, Pocock, Cooper, JOC (James O'Connor).

    - I presume Burgess is in the squad because Genia is injured. I expect Genia will come back into the squad for the EOYT - Jones's omission is not surprising. His inclusion was not necessary and he hardly finished off the year with a bang for the Rebels. Cowan's inclusion is the only...

    Wallaby Watch 2014

Any idea of how many in the squad? 32? For the first Bledisloe the team basically picks itself, save for Cummins' spot. This weekend's game could be pivotal as I would expect it will go to either McCabe, Horne or Tomane.

Speight looks like our answer to Savea. A real shame Henry's not available for the first Bledisloe.

Waratahs v Brumbies, SFS Saturday 26 July

This game is gonna be an absolute cracker. Even as a neutral fan i cant wait. A sold out, all aussie semi-final is great news for aussie rugby fans. I'll probably be supporting the tahs because i think they've been the best team to watch this year. Some interesting match ups over the park. As...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

@ Qwerty - when one of the commentators made a comment to the effect of "you'd be worried about Beale going to league considering the culture of league players misbehaving", I cant remember the name of that muppet with the bald head, but it was like he took it personally that someone would...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

It seems pretty par for the course these days for players to make their options very public when negotiating a new contract. Every good manager knows that the media machine works wonders in giving players the upper-hand in contract negotiations. I doubt Beale would sign with the NRL before the...

    Adopt a finalist 2014

I stand to win quite a bit of cash if the saders win so i really dont care too much if the tahs lose, but given the state of the game in Australia, seeing an Aussie team win a grand final would be a much needed boost. If the Tahs can beat the saders in Sydney it would be the perfect lead in to...

The road home - Super rugby 2014

despite the fact that I feel the Force should have been in the final six, I have no real issue with the bonus point system. The system is designed to encourage try scoring and I think it achieves that. Every team in the comp knows the rules at the start of the season. Those teams that want to...

The road home - Super rugby 2014

Looking at the Super rugby ladder and the performances over the last few weeks, I don't believe the Highlanders are worthy of their play in the final 6. The Hurricanes (who won the same amount of games, scored more points and conceded fewer) and the Force (who won more games) are both more...

    Reds v Waratahs, round 19 2014

I thought the reds forwards competed well. too bad the backs couldn't back up that good work. Fingers crossed that an off season reset and the addition of Genia, Cooper, JOC (James O'Connor), CFS will lead to a better 2015
