I would drag all my kids out to watch Wilkinson play. I remember being at the test in Brisbane when we thumped the English so it would be nice to see him play a final time.

While I'm a passionate QLD fan I'm pretty happy Folau got an ARU top up. I'm also happy for them not to top up Hunt. If he plays for the Reds for 2 years he'll make a huge amount in France if he wants to afterwards.

I think the Grand final might be the final swansong for a few Reds players. Don't think any will be in gold and blue at this stage TT. Can all change pretty quickly though. The next few weeks will be very interesting.

They may have finalised their squad but they are doing a terrible job of managing their fans. They need to make the average punter feel like they are a part of it. Having it announced at a black tie dinner that will cost more than most punters have to attend is a bit elitist if you ask me.

At least Shipperly isn't lost to Aussie Rugby. The Rebels have done some good recruiting in my view. They will have a pretty good backline in the next couple of years if these guys develop as expected.

I think Schatz is better than a bench player. yes his form has been down in 2014 but he almost played for the Wallabies in 2013. Maybe a different environment will bring out his best.

Re-signed or resigned? It can get a bit confusing

As a 19 year old if I was offered a contract to play in France I would jump at it and would hope to ply out a 10-15 year career there. It would set you up for life and I can't imagine the lifestyle would be too hard to handle.

Jake McIntyre is an option for 15. Will be a 10 long term but he could be used there.

I heard they were going to take home games to a number of country venues. Think they would be based in Brisbane for training though as it would cut costs.
