Aren't Scots U15s opting out of playing GPS 15A matches with boys at Glengarry? Would have thought that makes it difficult to assess how successful the great rugby program is in that age group. And doesnt Nathan play for Burraneer, which is yet to score a single point leave alone win a match...

    New Zealand Rugby Team Watch

From a more distant perspective across the ditch, surprised to see 13 Crusaders chosen, ahead of numbers from all other franchises, given Soup results. Must be a few noses out of joint amongst the others, esp (only 6) Highlanders. Has the loyalty card been overplayed?

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2015

Aren't many at Glengarry, and Scots opting out of encounters v other GPS 15As? Maybe I'm missing something, but how does that translate to a dominant outfit? Or is this 'on paper, based on u14 form.......'? And who have 15s GPS teams played other than each other to evidence the asserted...

2015 Super XV Final Hurricanes v Highlanders

Stunned. I thought after Canes performance v Brums that they were unbeatable, but A.Smith and the Dunedin boys were clinical. Nullified the Canes attacking weapons and countered with almost unbelievable speed and execution. If Retallick was best in World last year, A.Smith must have taken the...

Selection politics and bias, Gold Squads unfairness etc.

Fair point Tractor. If your boys play well at Regionals I'm sure there will be a few shaking hands with Bill Bell at Sydney training in a couple of weeks.

NSW JRU State Championships & Representative Teams 2015

Im sure that if MSZ prove a team to beware of they will get fair representation in the Syd team. That said, the reason Souths werent part of the main draw is that they lost 4 of 9 matches. To say they would have challenged the other 3 in finals, who only lost to each other throughout the...

Sportnut/HW, unfortunately Saxon Gillies broke his thumb at Mudgee (on day 2 - and played out the tournament) so wont be able to play at the Regionals.

There was a withdrawl from MNZ which saw the Gordon 10 brought into the squad. Musika and Jordan (Brown) are different players. Kind of like comparing Palu and Simmons. Mus at his best is very effective one or two off the ruck taking it into contact and can chop big opposition in half when...

    Waratahs v Highlanders, semi-final, Saturday 27 June

How good was A.Smith? Would be close to first pick in a World 15. Well done Highlanders and I hope they can take in to the Canes and make the final a cracker.

Completely agree KB (Kurtley Beale) and the good news is he has been brought into the MNZ squad

    NSW Schools Under 16 Championships - 2015

Pres A 35 d ISA 12. A gutsy effort by ISA, but too many handling errors gave plenty of ball to the bigger GPS forwards. GPS too well structured in the end and deserved the victory.

    CAS Rugby 2015

If anything you might try more Knox players given their dominance this season. That said,it seems readily apparent that GPS have the cattle that CAS lack this year and shuffling the deck chairs will be of minimal benefit this campaign. To rollout the well worn cliche, you learn far more from...

    NSW Schools Under 16 Championships - 2015

By the time I left after lunch Pres A had won 2 handsomely and everyone else bar ISA had lost 1. The difference was in the margins - Pres A in 2 comprehensive victories (30+) compared to ISA who won a tight first match v CAS by 2 pts. Not sure what the ISA margin was over CCC in their last...
