The AFR and every other outlet have been taking shots at McLennan over the situation for days if not weeks - your opinion isn't exactly as unique as your method of delivery.

Yeah, everything else aside, it's just a bit bizarre.

    Reds v Saitama, Ballymore, Saturday 4th November @ 3:05pm

Doesn't appear to be - he was in training photos that got posted yesterday. Wouldn't surprise me if they just want a look at HMP.

I can't imagine there is much of feedback loop between Stan's subscriber complaints department and RA... nor should there be - especially, again, as this doesn't pertain to anything that Stan has any real influence over. If anything, your email should've been directed to RA.

Not having a go, but your understandings of how feedback such as this (non-product related; indirect associations to other entities) is handled in large organisations are severely misguided. The only exception would be in situations which directly impact the brand's public image (e.g., for...

    Wallabies 2024

Yeah just realised I missed the context after Ghost’s post - edited to reflect that. Agreed re Gordon - not worth the risk, especially when there are other 9s available of roughly equal standard

    Wallabies 2024

3 Yellows and 1 Red in 9 appearances for Australia - a 44% hit rate - sounds a lot like a pattern of behaviour. Add in another 2 Yellows and another Red across a few seasons of Super and, well.... The most glaring issue is that they have mostly been cards as a result of acts of stupidity...

The one and only Wallaby Coach thread

Essentially - it often works out better for all parties involved. Very common to be offered incentives, cash or otherwise, to resign.

    Waugh for CEO/Coach then?

To see the drain of talent listed out like that is pretty confronting - especially considering it's not a 100% extensive list

    What about Hans Stevesen?

Yeah, don't get me wrong, this is no sleight against Cheika - and we could certainly do a lot worse - however it feels to me like it would be a missed opportunity.
  15. LeCheese

The one and only Wallaby Coach thread

Genuinely, why would we go back to Cheika? It screams quick fix that gets us absolutely nowhere in the longer term. It would be revisionist to suggest the last few seasons of Cheika's tenure were anything but lacklustre. We've seen what he can do - with what was probably a stronger playing...

RWC Final - New Zealand v South Africa 29/10/23, 0800 NZDT

Ay? He's saying he hadn't seen the replay, so couldn't confirm whether his call was correct or not - but is doubling down that he didn't see a clear release from Ardie when he made the call. He's not admitting he's wrong - he's admitting he could be wrong, but outlining why he made the decision...

Yeah, god forbid they actually employ a fair and robust selection process!

    Australian Rugby / RA

10 of the last 12 GFs have included a non-Victorian team - assuming 'success' is purely who walks away with the trophy is an extremely narrow view.

    Australian Rugby / RA

Whilst I agree that a domestic comp likely has benefit, we need to be careful pointing to Super AU as a yardstick for its likely success. Given the world at the time, people were actively looking for reasons to get out and about and for activities to engage in - sports obviously being the #1...

Yep, the success of non-Vic teams over recent years has really lit a fire under the game's following - feels a bit more than just the usual bandwagoners too, at least up here in BNE
