    Australian Rugby / RA

I could be misremembering, but hasn't the language from RA always been 'strategic alignment', with the media slapping the centralisation tag on it?

Do you have the stats to back this up? Or are you purely going off population?

I personally think that, plainly, Hamish has (alongside Eddie) acted like an absolute goose on several occasions and damaged whatever semblance of credibility and respect both RA and the game in this country have left. Irrespective of whether recent failures and longer-standing issues can...

I'm pretty sure it dictates the maximum number of contact sessions/hours at the very least - I think it came up on here during the injury nightmare of '22. But yes, I don't think it would extend to mandated rest during Super, nor should it.

Isn't the RUPA agreement dictating max hours currently? If so, could be hard to shift

From a physical development perspective, kicking - and particularly place kicking - with any sort of effect really only starts to become possible in the mid-to-late-teens. It's typically a very low-percentage play in juniors, with it often being actively discouraged in both general play and as a...

    Wallabies 2024

Maybe my memory fails me, but I recall him being a mostly safe pair of hands when receiving, and he’s shown himself as one of the best aerial finishers in the competition. I also recall him being as involved as he’s ever been when at 15, unleashing some of the potential that sometimes goes...

    Wallabies 2024

I still think Petaia has immense potential at 15 - attacking prowess and speed, solid in D, strong boot, and great under the high ball. Ultimately it largely depends on where he slots into the Reds' backline this year - he was superb in his games at 15 last season and really went looking for...

I for one look forward to Mark N (Nawaqanitawase) running out for the Western Sydney Brumbies in '25

No arguments there - I just can't see that RA would've called in the auditors without just cause, be it discrepancies, reason for doubts, or info being withheld.

    Australian Rugby / RA

I assume that RA, understandably, wanted more info over and above solvency - of course, it's all speculation without actually knowing what was/wasn't handed over. What isn't speculation is the Us vs Them mentality installed through hyperbolic media statements from club officials and aligned...

    Australian Rugby / RA

Fair, but weren't the reports that the Brums were being quite guarded with their financials (more so than the other clubs), somewhat forcing RA's hand? I would also imagine the Brums had outlined their position on centralisation/alignment behind closed doors before it all kicked off, and it was...

But they are the only club painting this as a hostile takeover, fight for their survival, etc. in the media. It's frankly bizarre and does absolutely nothing to help the situation.

    Wallabies 2023

The comments from Tupou and the others quoted in the article paint quite a concerning picture of disillusionment and frustration among players. Combined with what’s being said in some of the reports on Mark N (Nawaqanitawase), it does sound like Cyclone Eddie has caused more damage than realised.

If you thought the Union commentators had trouble pronouncing Nawaqanitawase, wait til you hear Gus Gould's attempt
