Won’t lose sleep if either starts. Lolesio is more brilliant, Hodge more straightforward. If Wright, who has some ball playing and creativity about him wasn’t at fb I would start Lolesio. Just my opinion.

I wouldn’t mind Hodge starting at 10 playing a simpler/more direct game plan getting us around the field. When we are in attack we can have Wright picking his moments to try and be a bit more creative. But if Rennie picks Lolesio there and puts Hodge at 23, I wouldn’t be disappointed.

Ok, obvious choice then. I had it my head it was a penalty (guess I’m outed as a follower of league too) and couldn’t understand Hodge not taking the 3 or kicking for touch.

In the lead up to that scrum penalty. Did we opt for a scrum? Or is that the law? Scrum and not a penalty for a kickoff not going 10?

One way or the other, to me 3 is too many in a controlled environment like training. And make that 4, Kellaway was at training too. And Holloway has only just come good from a training injury.

I also liked Wright at fb, think his mix of ball playing and running game can keep opposition defenders guessing. Will need some consistent performances there, but good showing today. Wish he’d lose the niggly aspect of his game though

I realize there are arguments for and against and understand you’re point of view. I just think it adds more fodder for the NH/RWto hold their ground on this red card issue

At one stage in defence he was on the open side when a ruck was formed, saw we were short on the blind, hustled to the blind and helped shut down what could’ve been a dangerous situation. Sure he can be clunky at times, but it’s effort plays like that that show why he’s still picked.

Good observations, obviously knows his stuff. I’m just happy he’s transitioning away from playing given the issues he’s had with head knocks.
