TT Rnd 1: Highlanders v Reds

We can take Liam Wright at the Brumbies and start him at 7 if you wish ;)

    Brumbies 2022

I agree. I would have McInerney above FF (Folau Fainga'a) and Lonergan was superb in the final.

    Brumbies 2022

Len Ikitau needs to be #1 priority now !

    Brumbies 2022

I feel both Lachlan Lonergan and Connal McInerney are good enough to be regular starters. I hope one finds a home at another AU franchise and gets plenty of game time.

Super Rugby AU Grand Final - Reds v Brumbies - Saturday 8th May 2021

I've always been critical of Hooper. Always favoured Pocock over him. But I agree with everything in your post. Hooper is better then McReight.

Super Rugby AU Grand Final - Reds v Brumbies - Saturday 8th May 2021

Valenti has been a beast all season. But I like him at 6, not sure he's great at the back of a scrum. Who are you assuming is at 6 is Valetini has played Wilson out of the jersey? I'd still have 6. Valetini 8. Wilson.

    Wallabies 2021

Surely Banks has played his way into the team too. Wasn't sold on him last year or at the start of the year, but he has really stepped up his attacking game, backed up the stats for the year (I believe topping run metres, tries, and line breaks).

That's a fair point. You're probably right, given it worked!

I think after last night, our current locks are looking good. Not sure how I feel about Rodda coming straight back into the squad. Would much rather the Brums or Reds locks given first crack. Or Phillip if he's back. Can't deny that guy.

I think Tupou needs to play bulk minutes. I love the idea of starting AAA, and bringing TT on after 25minutes. As he plays in the front row, I beleive, if he is injured AAA is allowed to come back on. TT has proven he can play 80mins, so he will be a beast for 65mins and at the back end of...

    Wallabies 2021

Petaia is a tough one. I think he's played himself out of the 13 jersey. Paiasmi (if fit) and Ikatu, much better options. I really do like Petaia on the wing or bench tho. His finishing ability is the best we got. Although, one of Koro and Wright would feel hard done by, but that's Test rugby...

The risk for a short arm penalty in the scrum when you have a 2 man advantage, and have dominated the scrum all night was very low. I would argue the tap was giving the Brumbies the best chance they got to disrupt the Reds ball, whether at ruck, intercept, or holding the ball up over the line.

    Wallabies 2021

On a positive, I am pumped for the Wallabies this year. Just imagine the Brumbies structures and then inserting the athleticism and dynamic players from the Reds. I guess the other franchises can have a player to two somewhere around the squad ;)

    Wallabies 2021

Yeh the decision to take the tap and not got for scrums when you have a 2 man advantage was a stupid indeed, basically the only change the Brumbies had was disrupting the ball in general play and they gave them that chance - lucky they got there in the end. I think they got impatient with the...

Super Rugby AU Grand Final - Reds v Brumbies - Saturday 8th May 2021

As a Brumbies supporter, all I have to say is TANIELA TUPOU! Brumbies would have won easily if he played for us. Dominated the scrum, and immense around the park, for 80mins! Can't argue the Reds aren't the better side, 3 from 3 is definitive.

    Wallabies 2021

I agree JOC (James O'Connor) 10, and Paisami is a lock in. Not sold on Koro, but only cos I can't seem to leave out Petaia or Wright from the list. Here's my crack at out backline: 9. White - Incumbent playing well, Tate off the bench 10. JOC (James O'Connor) - Better form then both To'omua/Lolesio 11. Wright - Incumbent...

    Wallabies 2021

I would have Petaia on the wing ahead of Koro. Petaia has proven to be a better finisher this year. Although I think Petaia is our long-term 13 I like him on the wing this year until he can cut some errors out of this game. I think the best game he played all year was on the wing too...

Super Rugby RD 9 Rebels v Brumbies

Watching Valetini smash blokes in the 75min was a thing of beauty. He has really stepped up his impact this year, and great to see him sustain it over the whole 80mins.

All of the incumbent Hookers have not been consistent with their line-out throws. This is a big issue IMO. I'm glad Rennie is looking for more consistency.

    Wallabies 2021

I agree. But I think we have some solid options. I'm loving the look of Paisami at 12, he's getting better and better each game. I think To'omua would be the first choice starter, assuming he is not at 10. Hodge always a decent option there too. Kerevi coild return too. I think it's Hamish...
