    TRC2021 - Wallabies v Pumas @ Townsville 25/09

I agree. Doesn't matter how much determination you have if you're running straight into an Etzebeth or Vermeulen.

Leg drive Leg drive leg drive. McMahon is basically Australia's version of Ardie Savea. He jumps in the line-out and is effective. But he is still too short to be consider a primary line-out jumper. I fear with the way he plays (or used to play I should say), which is to play aggressively...

    TRC2021 - Wallabies v Boks @ Suncorp 18/09

Not a good strategy against the Boks. I'd take the solid high ball FB every time. I don't get the JOC (James O'Connor) at fullback love, I just don't see him being effective there at all. Banks would probably have a better broken play running game then him these days, and thats saying a lot given Banks doesn't...

JOC (James O'Connor), Pocock, Sharpe, Cummins, Brown, McCalman. Surely there was some cross-over with those blokes.

True, I think Hodge is solid under the high ball too. Wouldn't mind seeing him get a crack. Although maybe he should be punished for kicking the ball away last match with only a couple minutes to go. Also, whilst Banks has been far from good. I don't think he has been bad either, far from a...

I actually rate Tates box kicking, it has been pretty good this year. Under-rated part of this game. Whites experience and decision making was certainly handy last match. Hard to seperate them. Happy if either started, but personally just love seeing Tate in full flight, so good to watch.

    Wallabies 2021

I could see him at 12 at super rugby level, but not at test level. I feel the position is too physically demanding these days. Maybe he would balance out the backline at 13 with Kerevi at 12 but he has the least experience at 13, and that is probably even more critical on defence then 12, which...

    Wallabies 2021

I don't see JOC (James O'Connor) at any position besides 10 though, he just doesn't have the speed or strength these days. I think his current game is built around maturity, leadership and having a calming head. We really only need that at 10. I don't see that at 12,13, or 15 as you're given up too much. I just...

Or Hodge kicking the ball away in the dying moments of the game.

Bit harsh on Valetini and Swinton, I feel both are doing a lot of work. I give them both pass marks. Both are physical and do their job and will get better. Yeh Fainga'a surely played himself out of Test rugby by now.

    Wallabies 2021

If Cooper is a lock in at 10 then he should be a package deal with Kerevi. As I don't see Cooper able to neutralise some of the defensive pressure without Kerevi, so many time he was able to pass the ball quickly to Kerevi, often flat footed, but Kerevi was still able to win the contact area...

There was also Hodgeson. So under-rated. Would have been right at home at Test level.

I agree. It does make me less likely to choose a player like Neville or To'omua who won't likely make it to the RWC and beyond.

Did anyone watch Ben Darwin on RugbyPass? He is now a rugby statistical analyst and had some pretty interesting insights. Primarily the major factor in successful teams was cohesion. Playing players out of position or chopping and changing teams often is a key factor in unsuccessful teams...
