    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

BH I think there could be a few of these players with Super Rugby experience by the time time the tournament gets underway. With the compulsory resting of key Wallabies during the season, in positions like prop, hooker, half back, No 10 and perhaps fullback some teams will be fielding their third choice...

Super Rugby Rd 1: Waratahs vs Brumbies Friday, 24th February

Lot of dew on the ground. :D One side has to lose but it won't be decisive over the season - both could still be in the finals which is what I'd expect, I think the Brumbies forwards almost select themselves but the backs and formations are a bit unknown outside White, Ikitau and Wright. The...

    Brumbies 2023

I would have thought it would be a priority for the clubs to put faces to their names, especially the new ones. I might be the exception, but I like to know what all of the players, including those from other teams (Aus teams, at least) look like when I'm watching a game. The numbers they wear...

    Brumbies 2023

Anybody know if and when the Brumbies will be updating their website to show the current squad? Still shows the players from last year who have since left, while new faces aren't there at all.

    Force 2023

Marley Pearce looks to be a star in the making - very strong in the U19s last year. Well done on his Junior Wallabies camp selection. Spink had a very strong game at 13 (as did the Drua No 13) and will probably fill that hole more than adequately for the Force this year. I don't agree with...

    Brumbies 2023

Dru, there are other pics on Facebook and on the Brumbies website. Pete is standing slightly in front of Rob, but they are both at a diagonal angle to the front-on photo shot. There is very little difference imo in the distance each is from the wall at the back. I'll have to disagree with you...

Having no NRC is better how?

Better but I fear the Canberra Vikings (as distinct from the Tuggeranong Vikings) would just be too strong. ;) :D

    Brumbies 2023

Interesting to compare Pete and Rob in this photo. Without the hair, I'd say they are both around the same height, and they look to be of similar weight too (though obviously that is harder to judge from a photo). According to published stats, Pete is listed at 185cm and 102Kg, while Rob is...

Having no NRC is better how?

Restricting a comp to only the top sides in the respective club competitions always invites the question - what happens to the players in the other (perhaps) 30 - 40 clubs that miss out? Until that can be solved, I personally don't think it is a goer.

SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) 23 Trial Match - ACT Brumbies v Melbourne Rebels Wagga Wagga

Thought Pincus had a belter for the Rebels.

SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) 23 Trial Match - ACT Brumbies v Melbourne Rebels Wagga Wagga

Purce, it is available on BarTv at a cost of around $7 for 48 hours. Otherwise, don't know if it can be picked up somewhere on Youtube.

SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) 23 Trial Match - ACT Brumbies v Melbourne Rebels Wagga Wagga

Slim, you and I might be the only two left with an interest in the Brumbies. Have you heard anything of Tom Hooper's injury? Finished the game on crutches on the sideline. Not sure if it was an ankle or knee.

Van Nek is with the Brumbies this year and will be starting in the trial against the Rebels tonight.

Would you care to post the team in the match thread?

Super Rugby Pre-Season Trial: Waratahs v Brumbies

Maybe one. Don't think I've ever seen more than one try scored from one maul. ;)

    Wallabies 2023

Interesting Ghost. Len Ikitau was the only player to earn GAGR player points in all EOYT tests. Nick Frost scored in four tests which is pretty admirable for a new comer, but Nawaqanitawase topped him while only scoring in two tests.

Super Rugby Pre-Season Trial: Waratahs v Brumbies

That's one viewpoint, and is MacKellar-esque. Don't you think Larkham might change things up a bit? He's quoted in today's Canberra Times as saying he wants a more attacking style which will include more ball running but retaining a kicking game when required. Sounds ideal for someone like...

Super Rugby Pre-Season Trial: Waratahs v Brumbies

All very true Hawko. but with Eddie Jones there, wouldn't the more senior players have wanted to show a bit extra in front of the Wallabies coach and selector? Nadolo did look good early. Also impressed with one of the props but don't know his name (not Holz or Tet Faulkner).
