    The Wallabies Thread

I think we're more likely to see Folau at 13, DHP at fullback, and Hodge on the wing, than we are to see Hodge just slot in at 13.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Kepu is class, I'm trusting him until he hits the Stephen Moore form collapse. I think it will be 35 players (gut feeling that we'll have two sets of 15, then an extra prop, hooker, lock, scrumhalf, and outside back), but who knows? I have a lot of belief in ASY (Angus Scott-Young), but I'm also pretty sure we...

I've got my hopes that he comes back from his injury well, but I'm still a little worried!

My changes to your list. Reckon we'd pick the same starting lineup, though ;)

    Brumbies 2019

If Lilo stays, then we have two 10s with Super experience. Focus needs to be on getting two 12 who are good enough to be Brumbies, a backup 13, and a worthy backup loosehead. I suspect, however, that we'll see Mack Hansen given a chance at 12, with JJH as backup.

WSR is as much a measure as NRC; I'm happy to pick some development guys though it, and maybe some exceptional talents become first-team regulars, but I'm treating them as the exception rather than the norm.

    Un-Australian Activities 2018

If it made the scheduling easier, I might get it, but it's much more intuitive to just have highest vs lowest, 2nd highest v 2nd lowest, etc. The JID Cup had the stupid 1v2, 3v4, loser of 1v2 v winner of 3v4, winner of that game vs winner of 1v2 system, but have seen sense and abandoned it.

    Un-Australian Activities 2018

More fool me, forgot the weird SF system.

    Un-Australian Activities 2018

I see it as a dead rubber. Winner should be playing the Crusaders or the Lions in the semi, and be massive underdogs in either. Still, Canes by 15.

    Waratahs 2018

And with a single sentence, he doomed the Crusaders, Hurricanes, and Waratahs to a tryless exit in the quarter finals.

    Rebels 2019

Thorpe has a lot of experience managing players with an ego, I think Mafi is just a guy who buys his own hype a tad too much. Anyway, if you've got Naisarani coming next year, it's a win for everyone involved that Mafi is gone.

Aus rugby needs good LHPs and, apart from the Reds, every provincial side needs reserve props who are actually competing for the starting jersey. I really hope Hill has some targets in mind, because we're not going to survive next season with only Sio, Ala'alatoa, Alexander, and Makin.

    Brumbies 2019

Much as I enjoy Robertson finally delivering on some of his promise, I still wish the national depth at LHP was stronger. We either need to get JP Smith training with the national side, or see about getting Mayhew to the Rebels, where he would undoubtedly start; his quality is almost equal to Sio.

    Brumbies 2018

I definitely rate Fainga'a improvement from where he was when he came off the bench in Melbourne, but I also think that point was lower than where he was last season in the NRC. That said, I'm really proud of him for working out the weaknesses in his game (lineout throwing and hooking in the...

    Brumbies 2018

So that's the season. Bad News: Offensively, we still struggle, with only the Reds, Blues, and Stormers scoring fewer points than we did. Likewise, we have beaten the least defenders of any team this season, and the third worst clean breaks (better than Reds and Sunwolves). However, six teams...

You're basically describing James Dargaville, why aren't we keeping him?

    Brumbies 2019

I think McKellar is saying all the right things there. However, recruitment and contract negotiation isn't the job of the coach at the Brumbies anymore; Damien Hill will be the one making the call on any "rockstars".
