    Shute Shield 2019

The NRC club which we all started off supporting (and each club put in $20,000 IIRC), has left us. No idea where they play or who plays for them these days.

    2019 SYDNEY COLTS RUGBY

Unfortunately, you can't rebuild your club from a colts programme alone. Those of us with a long memory will remember when Drummoyne and Norths were promoted back to SS in the early 90s. The first year up in SS, the Drummoyne club recruited heavily in colts and their Colts 1 side were very...

    NSW AAGPS 2019

Never mind horse balls, the Scots boys are on medieval gruel (served from the Scottish boronial kitchen) if they lose.;):)
  4. Quick Hands

    NSW AAGPS 2019

    Scots to beat Riverview
  5. Quick Hands

    NSW AAGPS 2019

Waverley 3s v Gregs would make sense as Shore 3s would be the ones to go to Bathurst
  6. Quick Hands

    NSW AAGPS 2019

Assume they will be at full strength.
  7. Quick Hands

    Shute Shield 2019

Probably not much, IIRC during the last RWC the NRC was invisible.
  8. Quick Hands

    Rugby World Cup 2019

Second game of the tourament, so they'll need to get it right pretty quickly.
  9. Quick Hands

    NSW AAGPS 2019

Not sure if Scots and Riverview are playing this week (1st Saturday in May), but I would assume they would be. Surely Lambo wouldn't have a weekend without rugby?;)
  10. Quick Hands

    Shute Shield 2019

Don't think it matters what anyone wants. The NRC is a creation for Fox Sports and if they don't want it then it will be gone. In its current form, I don't think that the NRC is doing much for rugby but that's just my view.
  11. Quick Hands

    Rugby World Cup 2019

Hockey was on FoxSports over here. Watched the mens game - great game won 2-1 by Australia. Hope they can sort it out for you guys before RWC.
  12. Quick Hands

    NSW AAGPS 2019

Holidays are almost over and the rugby is almost back, Newington are back on Monday and training is on from Monday afternoon. Games for this Saturday: New v Knox at Warrawee Joeys v Barker & Oakhill at Hunters Hill (assume that SJC firsts will play Barker) Kings v St Augs & High at...

    The Israel Folau saga

While I agree with you to the extent that I think that Israel is misguided in some of his theological positions, I think we need to be consistent if we are going to say that Wallabies can only make public comment on rugby matters and anything else is out of bounds. So is it your position that...
  14. Quick Hands

    Refereeing decisions

Correct, clearly has both knees on the ground so even though he has released the ball he can't take part in the game until he is on his feet.
  15. Quick Hands

    The Israel Folau saga

But that's the sting in the tail. What theological training do the board and CEO of RA have? How are they qualified to make religious judgements on anyone? Who decides what is "positive" and "inclusive" and on what basis? Are RA going to establish what parts of each religion are acceptable...
  16. Quick Hands

    NSW AAGPS 2019

Indeed UTG, even Joker was lost for words - which is a considerable achievement in itself.
  17. Quick Hands

    NSW AAGPS 2019

So tell us Lindommer, is it worse for a Joe Boy to be called a Riverview OB or a Shore OB?;):)
  18. Quick Hands

    Shute Shield 2019

I guess there's no perfect way of doing it unless we go back to a full home and away season, but that would impact the NRC as it would make the SS season 4 weeks longer.
  19. Quick Hands

    The Israel Folau saga

Folau should have this guy defending him. He's at least written one of the more balanced columns about this. https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/international/112124747/israel-folau-rugbys-case-against-wallabies-star-is-a-legal-and-moral-minefield?rm=m
  20. Quick Hands

    The Israel Folau saga

That's essentially his problem. He has no theological training and is misguided rather than deliberately offensive, mainly because he's using isolated Bible passages to over-simplify complex matters of belief and faith.
