    Crusaders v Rebels - Super Rugby Round 11 - 28 April 2013

Not a hope we win this.

    Rebels 2013

Cheers. Good work by the Brumbies locking him in, he's definitely a good enough player to be starting - just not sure how many opportunities he'll get behind To'omua, Lilo, McCabe and Mogg. Would have been nice to have him at the Rebels, we could always try developing a player though I suppose.

Anyone know Robbie Coleman's contract status?

    Cringeworthy Kearns/Martin moments.....minutes......hours......

Marto just shouldn't be allowed to cover Reds games.

    Wallabies Watch

JOC (James O'Connor) is going to be in the Wallabies XV. Anyone who thinks he shouldn't be needs their head checked. The only question is where - 10, 14 or 15. Would be nice if he was a chance in the centres as well.

    Rebels 2013

Why? It's actually a pretty interesting discussion about how the Rebels should move forward as a franchise. Completely with you on Nucifora though. I'll seriously reconsider a membership if he's made coach.

    Wallabies of the Future

Pyle I'll give you, but Jones is genuinely hard. Besides, hardness has never been an issue for Deans - see Simmons, a soft-as-butter favourite. And yes, at the Reds or elsewhere.

    Rebels 2013

Meh. It's just not an option at the moment and it's silly to assume otherwise. Twenty, thirty, years down the track when there's actually history to care about then sure. Colby is a fucking great signing. Couldn't be happier we've got him. PAE, Lahiff, Pyle, Neville, Jones, Fainga'a...

    Rebels 2013

    Shocker.

    Rebels 2013

Don't quite buy that. People will buy into a team for a whole lot of reasons, I don't think traditional reasons like geographic location and class matter as much any more. What the Rebels need is a narrative, something people can buy into. Look at, say, the Wanderers in the A-League. That's an...

    Wallabies of the Future

    Hasn't stopped Higgers.

    Wallabies of the Future

They're playing under a pretty average coaching team in fairness. They've both had strong individual seasons as part of a flailing team. At times there's only so much one player can do. In saying that, Jones won't get a shot for the Wallabies until he can fix his hands. He turns the ball over in...

    Rebels 2013

They might move on to greener pastures or, if they buy into what the Rebels are doing, they'll stay. Look at a team like Geelong in the AFL where they've managed, for years, to hang onto a host of stars by convincing them to keep playing at below market value for the chance to play finals footy...
  14. Dumbledore

    Rebels 2013

Bingo. It's where a draft would really help developing teams like the Rebels and the Force.

    Rebels 2013

Because this is professional spot and we've moved past petty provincialism? Seriously, if you're going to get into that then we should be tearing our hair out about Digby and Lilo. It's just not how sport works these days. Would I like to get young players coming through the Melbourne system...

    Rebels 2013

Most definitely. It's like they do it for fun.
  18. Dumbledore

    Rebels 2013

I want whoever doesn't get the Wallabies job - so either Deans or McKenzie - and I want a decent skills coach. The hands of the players are just fucking appalling. We'd concede more turnovers than any other team in the competition by a huge margin.

    Rebels 2013

Inman had smashed a shoulder it looked like at the ground. Wasn't moving properly at all. What more is there to say at this point? It's the same problems every single fucking week with zero evidence of any improvement.

    April Wallaby 30 Man Squad

No. Which is a huge shame as he's the best wing in Australia by a distance at the moment.
