Not exactly like there's a winning team for them to disrupt.

Ewen McKenzie - Life after the Reds

Well he coached the Crusaders to seven Soup rugby titles and was an assistant coach for one of the most exciting All Black sides ever. He was by far the best credentialled candidate for the job. At times he's got this Australian side playing some very good rugby, he's also done a good job of...

    Sharks v Rebels RD 6 2013

He's an excellent goalkicker as well. The side looks so much better balanced with him in it. Mitchell, like Phipps, is a bit of an undroppable though. We're going to see those two in the XV, it's inevitable.

Mate, I'm with you. If he keeps playing like that then 6. Mowen, 8. Auelua is going to start looking all kinds of tasty. One game as part of a dominant forward pack isn't really enough to demand as starting spot though. Palu is in the same bracket as Horwill for me. Will be great if we can...

Australian rugby fan in being blindly parochial shocker. He's looked the goods coming off the bench, and now he's delivered in his first (?) run on start. If he can keep that sort of form up it would be mad not to have a serious look at him. He looks to have everything we've wanted in an 8...

I think we all know it's going to be this Phipps JOC (James O'Connor) Vuna Mitchell Inman Kingi Roberts And another 10 point loss where we try really, really hard but can't actually score any second-half points.

Definitely. I'd love to see it. I think it's slightly unfair to get absolutely stuck into Beale when he's had to play with Phipps and Sidey. Give him White and Lilo and a bit of time and space and I reckon you'd see a different player entirely.

    Wallabies Watch

He definitely hasn't been. He's had a couple of acceptable games but hasn't been anything special. To'omua has been good but has had the benefit of playing behind an utterly dominant pack and with a very, very good scrumhalf and inside centre.

Pretty sure he's just doing that to spite my team selections. Will be JOC (James O'Connor) at flyhalf then, Mitchell will stay 12. Hopefully he doesn't fall over this week.

Ha, that's how good he is! Okay, fixed version. Stirzaker Beale Vuna JOC (James O'Connor) Inman Woodward Roberts

Stirzaker Beale Vuna JOC (James O'Connor) Inman Woodward Beale You know it makes sense.

Good point, but again they'd be the exception rather than the rule.

They're pretty unreasonable expectations I reckon. How many players have been able to perform those skills on a consistent basis? Carter and... ? I think when it comes to a flyhalf you're either going to get a running, passing or kicking player. The better flyhalf have at least two of those...

I think we need to stop talking about Horwill until he actually plays. That injury he had is horrific. I won't be the least bit surprised if his speed, leap and agility are all down. He might come back and hit the heights straight away, but the reality is he hasn't played any rugby for almost 12...

Anything you'd like to add after tonights effort? That winning culture really came through.

Waratahs vs Cheetahs Super Rugby-R5 2013

Mostly yes, it's just that they don't really care about either.
  18. Dumbledore

    Wallabies Watch

Yeah I wasn't entirely serious. The Brumbies do have outstanding depth. Personally I'd take him over Rathbone or Coleman, but I can see the argument either way. He did more than enough to earn himself another shot on the wing for the Tahs, if he can stay there all season who knows.
  19. Dumbledore

    Wallabies Watch

So basically you have no idea and you're just making shit up because you don't like the Tahs? Which is fair enough, mind, they're an intensely frustrating team to watch.
