Newington in both the 1sts and 2nds were big sides. The physicality definitely showed in the 2nds. Though this may have also the reason for the lop sided penalty count - over enthusiastic big lads with more passion than discipline. That said the Newington supporters could feel themselves...

To me the Tahs, unfortunately like a lot of NSW teams, have an attitude or perception of arrogance about them. Because they are from NSW they are "better" than others. The thing is though, definitely on paper, they often are better than most other sides. But they can't bring this to the field...

I think this week it would be hard to pick too many Waratahs as, regardless of how various individuals played and the result, the whole team appeared distracted, lethargic and lacking fitness. Though you would give them and the Rebels some points for not totally capitulating and coming back in...

Mixed feelings about this, though it would be good for Melbourne I feel sorry for the Force. Admittedly the Force took him off Queensland, but he has been doing well over there and, though they aren't winning, generally the Force are eminently watchable. And he is a big part of that.

The Chiefs have cost me dearly in my tipping competitions, but then again I don't think I have picked the first played each week yet. If NSW play smart and to their strengths they should get through.
