    Reds 2011

I notice that St George is now a major(?) sponsor of the Reds. So at least the Reds have got one "NSW" entity back up there. An interesting sponsor, but should be good I think.

    Channel 9 Commentary Team

Al Baxter - at least that way he will get to the world cup! Also he comes across well when he has his chats on ABC radio on the weekend. Whoever it is, I hope there is some "new talent" there and we can get rid of some of the current Australian commentators - who just seem to miss the...

Free to air Super Rugby coverage.

Just found this on the Channel 9 website... http://channelnine.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=8210505 Midnight??? Haven't they got any other time slot to fill? It is not as though they are brimful with quality stuff on Saturday/ Sunday....

    Rebels vs. Waratahs - 2011R01

Strategically (it could be argued) the Tirpitz did more than the Bismark, so he may see it as a compliment.

Do they have any Safari Suits there?

There is nothing too much wrong with the northern beaches. Fond memories of Narrabeen and Curl Curl.....

    Shute Shield 2011

None of them coming back? That sounds dangerous...like the Australian Cricket team, with few test players playing in the Sheffield Shield. It gets hard to compare players when they don't play each other. Players start to get picked on reputation and because they were in the side the previous...

    Tahs v Fiji Warriors

But on the flip side it has added so much more time to your trips to God's Country :)

    Shute Shield TV Rights

It would be good to have more than one game a week, but I can't see anyone doing it better than the ABC. And I think the way they do it is part of the charm. Often some of the sporting coverage is over produced these days...the bizarre pre-match display before the finals of the Australian Open...

    Shute Shield 2011

Southern Districts at 6? I would have them slightly higher. The rest looks quite good though. Perhaps one thing we should ask, is thatwill thee be any large thrashings this year.

    Shute Shield 2011

I think the thing is to get in the top 6 and stay there, so you can compete in the finals. In the finals it all changes as you seem to get almost "new" sides playing when various team's rep players come back in (or they grab a couple of Qld players who have finished their season up there.) It...

    Brumbies 2011

With all this talk about the uncertaintity of the Brumbies backline, all I hope is that they get things sorted out so at least this year their top try scorer is not a prop! (Not that I wouldn't mind seeing Ben A scorring just as many tries or more this year...)

    Waratahs 2011

Didn't the Brumbies pick-up Stirzaker? He isn't such a bad half...though quite young

    Brumbies 2011

So the injury woes for the Brumbies roll along just like last year. Are some clubs more "injury prone" than others? Or is it just that supporters concentrate on their own clubs at the expense of others? But I would like to know what fitness, conditioning some of these clubs do. It is...

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

Went to the above link. It is quite a good website the Rebels have set up. I hope some of the more established franchises can get theirs up to a decent standard. And soon.

    Shute Shield 2011

Also there is a fairly strong subbies tradition that way as well. Perhaps a lot of the rugby crowd there play Rugby for the love of it and on the North Shore they can by finding a suitable subbies side rather than heading off to the more professional clubs.

    Rugby Kits and Style

I have fond memories of the leather balls. The problem was that my playing ability relegated me to the lesser of all the school grounds and 9am starts. Passing a mis-shapen leather ball on frost/ dew covered poorly grassed grounds was an experience. Especially to my fingers when I caught the...

    Rugby Kits and Style

I can vaguely remember one season when as a winger, I could wear the same kit for a few weekends before any washing was required.

I have words that would fit "some description" for him, but at the moment I am feeling too good and of such a happy disposition I shall not put them to paper (or screen)
