Bulls vs Waratahs - Super Rugby Rd11 2013

I'm tipping the bulls, because every time I tip against the tahs they win!

Playing two 15s in the starting XV

Gnostic a few comments on your post (which I like btw) 1 - I don't think JOC (James O'Connor) is a good defender, especially in the line. When playing 10 for the Rabble a lot of breaks are through his channel. This is my biggest concern about the potential to play him at 10 for the wallabies. 2 - Folau's kick...

Bulls vs Waratahs - Super Rugby Rd11 2013

just a thought: maybe they dont want us to know.... let us all assume they took the same 22 that played last friday, then BAM!, out runs Berrick Barnes, risen from the brink of injury to kick the tahs to a famous victory

Is it time to change the name of the Waratahs?

it'd be a hell of an aterparty. We could get Guy Sebastian to perform

mitchell will be out for a few weeks at least - tweeted that scans revealed a slight tear. Agree we should have the same team, but will need to use the bench more.

    Fantasy Super rugby 2013

well that was crap: I did my transfers in a rush and had Ged at hooker (with Parsons on the bench =0) and Poki in the team (with piatau on the bench =0). Fortunately I had left Anscombe in the team not realising he was starting from the bench, so I at least picked up some points there, but Savea...

Bulls vs Waratahs - Super Rugby Rd11 2013

it's been their tactic for the last 6 years, hasn't it? I'm not worried about him dropping the ball, I'm interested to see how well he can position himself to take those balls. I hope Chieka is drumming into the tahs his comments from friday - you guys can't play tactical, just hold the...

Bulls vs Waratahs - Super Rugby Rd11 2013

I wonder if the bulls have done their homework on folau and will still try to target him with high kicks? I will be interested to see how he handles it if they do, particularly his positioning.

Is it time to change the name of the Waratahs?

agree. I think the "fans" who aren't turning up any more are the investment bankers and their mates. Everyone who is there is invested in the team, and the atmosphere is getting back to 2003 levels. Also getting beer is much easier

Nsw Lions? NSW cats? I've got it! NSW queens!

Waratahs vs Chiefs Super Rugby Rd 10, Fri 19 April 2013

An advantage of watching rugby live is seeing the whole field, not the camera close up. A big difference this week was the tahs realignment in defence, especially on turnover ball. All worked hard to get into position. It was interesting to hear Chieka say on fox that the tahs tried to...

fortunately I am in the minority of Tah fans who dont have to cross our harbour to get to Moore Park. I fully expect a shit fight, but I don't do PT, especially the Friday evening bus that it would entail.

The dying - perhaps death - of Rugby in Australia.

make it part of the citizenship test maybe. Stuff "who was Don Bradman", try "what are the relative merits of Quade Cooper as starting 10 against the Lions"

    Waratahs 2014

when Tahu was in the side this was used, perhaps to excess. But with Izzy (IMO a greater aerial ball handler) it has not been used once. Perhaps Foley doesn't back himself to kick accurately enough?

the Lions twitter account noted that on the 1888 tour the only 2 aussie teams to beat the touring lions from 17 games were 2 sydney schools. One was grammer. So you may be right Lindommer

Coming in with the missus, but from home so given sydney traffic is already bad on a friday I may or may not make it to the taphouse pre game. Will do my best though

agree fatprop, unless the team has worked hard on defensive realignment from turnovers we will get eaten alive. If the big lads muscle up there could be space around the rucks, but I predict this will be another Hurricanes game, where we play well in patches but give away too many easy points
