He may be. We are frankly all speculating on his desires, but the 1 year deal could also be so he can prove himself and earn an aru top up.

    $1 million Rugby Revolution

All I have read is that residents around Drummoyne oval are bitterly complaining about the new floodlights that have magically sprung up in the last month

    Thoughts on Folau to rugby

I hope that (if proven correct) this is the first of many talented young athletes, previously drawn to the more popular winter sports, coming into Union for a chance to achieve Olympic glory. As long as they achieve based on merit not reputation, I see this as nothing but a good thing for the game

    Waratahs 2013

It was interesting to hear Chieka saying that the team attack is the key for winning games, and defense is the teams insurance, to be relied on in case of an emergency.

    Scrum Talk

you may be Jack. Watch the french first try. First scrum (our feed) we got pinged for crooked feed. The second scrum we were monstered - they drove us off the ball, we fractured and were luck they didn't get the try from that scrum. Third scrum they drove us up, and we popped too, when they went...

    $1 million Rugby Revolution

The Scottish Rugby Yam only grows in soggy weather. The French Rugby Yam is either edible or not, and you can never tell which is which. The New Zealand Rugby Yam is generally regarded as the best specimen, and grows seemingly at will on home soil. The australian Rugby Yam looks tough, but when...

    unsettling the lions

last lions tour my sister's boyfriend was working the bar at the Sheraton where they were staying. Try as I might he refused to slip them anything. I remember when the Socceroos toured Uruguay and the local fans stayed up all night outside the hotel cheering, tooting air horns and generally...

    Scrum Talk

Part of the problem is they genuinely drove through us on the first scrum, and after that the Ref had it in his mind that we couldn't cope. It took many scrums (can't bear to re-watch to count exactly) for our front row to pick up on the trick, stand a little higher, and we actually drove over...

    Scrum Talk

A lot of the penalties the French got at scrum time were when the far side prop stepped back and dropped his head below his waist, forcing the australian prop to drop the scrum. I was surprised Owens fell for it, but I guess our reputation proceeded us.

New Blog Post: NSW GPS – It’s Changed Again

how bad is it that I am no longer considering Grammar for my boys because of this. Not that I think they would be 1st XV players anyway, but that the sport now takes such a back seat. But I can't send them to any other GPS school either. It's like when the bears dropped out of the NRL I...

    Scrum Talk

I can't see the scrum getting all the way back to this. What I'm suggesting is a scrum packed as it currently is, and with an engage call where the 2 whole packs come together, but one where the props are pre bound and the hit is minor. This is actually how we used to pack in U19 rules in the...
