I dont agree. Randwick's defensive effort was the 3rd best in the Comp & they were a huge part of that. Manly were the only side that comprehensively beat the Wicks & yes they were outplayed by Manly. Randwick lost 5 games by 5 points or less which hardly suggests they were regularly outplayed...

Yep. Better than zip. Perhaps the criteria may have been better communicated which might have managed expectations better. Like others have said, enough bleating. I till feel for some of the players who should have been picked. Where is that bandwagon?

In addition to the players nominated Toa, maybe Jesse Harris & Will Rees-Hole although he is a Welsh visitor TC is a terrible omission as he has been a standout this year Don't see what benefit is in this association for Randwick.

Agree with this thinking especially when the fringe SS players, many of whom are very early 20s in age, have also played high level rep football such as Aussie 20s however are now viewed as SS players. That just emphasises the difference in standard and the futility in fast tracking Colts unless...

Agree with your comments - James Grant was quoted as saying the Eagles will have 10 Country players. As said elsewhere, they might be playing Shute Shield now (at least I hope some are)

Am hoping all but Croke are considered Waratahs although don't think Metz is under contract. Easts & Wicks players may be screwed. Like to see how the 10 Country players would fare in the Shute Shield. Perhaps the Country players are playing in the SS now anyway.

Fair point. I get mixed signals. There will be 16 Super 15 /test players allocated to every franchise. That leaves 18 spots to make up the squad of 34. James Grant is on record as saying that 10 of these will be from the Bush. That leaves 8 from Easts & Randwick - less whoever else they find...

Just read that Cam Treloar is in the squad. As said elsewhere, he is a good fella however I don't see value selecting a 34 year old in a comp that is supposed to be a pathway.

He would however each side has a quota of S15 players who would do that. I probably should move this to the NRC thread.

No offence to Mr Treloar as I understand he is a real good fella however heard he came back for the NRC. Isn't that meant to be a pathway? Pathway to what? Retirement? A very good up & coming 34 year old.
