NSW Country - - - NRC Official Team Thread

Well put Hans. The Eagles aren't the only ones with dilemmas. Imagine being that player that is going well in First Grade yet is likely to be overlooked for an Under 20 Rock Star that has yet to be tested with the constant grind of 1st Grade. Might be some changes in allegiances before the...

Harris is not quite there fitness wise. Connor is getting ready for the international 7s circuit - think he is one of the Wicks best so will be missed, Mind you, the form of Baldwin & JJ cant be faulted this year - Baldy seems a much better player this year. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Shute Shield 2015

Speaking of grounds...... Any chance we will see some Rugby this weekend or will the grounds be converted to swimming pools to watch aqua aerobics instead. Coogee recovers well, however it is hoped the rain stops tomorrow or it may be closed Saturday.

    Shute Shield 2015

Sorry to hear that Belly. The Two Blues were OK in the trials. Can I humbly suggest that you have a look at fitness. I guess that wouldn't have made a difference as they were down lots after 30 minutes however I did notice the forwards may have been a bit chubby and may have struggled with the...

    Shute Shield 2015

Manly Marlins seem to be the standouts for mine. Am tipping Manly V Woodies with the Marlins getting the title.

A good win over Parra today. After a slow start the boys just ran them off their legs. For mine, the usual suspects did as they have done over the last few weeks - high work rate in the forwards and crisp back line play. Thought Toa is getting his Mojo back and looking better every week. Thought...

    Galloping Greens

Great win @ Coogee Oval over a classy Warringah side that appeared shell shocked as the game went on. Thought the Wicks were superior in every facet. Defence was rock solid and mostly fierce. This mob had plenty of tiger in the tank. Big improvement over last year, hope the young blokes can keep...

    "Club Rugby" on 7Two

Agree - HUGE improvement - thought the lads were commentating all the attack well however didn't really seem to notice the poor dirt baggers who do the 50 tackles or clean outs - not much analysis of the scrum either. Not a criticism - very grateful to have the service however just some positive...

    Galloping Greens

Loved the win yesterday. Whilst they were very rusty, also thought the Wicks have HUGE amounts of improvement. It was just a gritty focused grind with flashes of things to come. IMO Horwitz played his best game for the Club, the new 9 was great. Apart from a few blunders the 15 was OK as was the...

    Shute Shield 2015

See that Hugh Roach is on the bench for the Tahs with TPN out injured. Suspect he may not turn out for the Woodies.

Hi Braveheart - have you got access to the Beasties Team list yet?

    Waratahs 2016

Agree. Stewart is a must. Dempsey to 7 if at all. He can sniff a try however may not have the chassis for anywhere other than 7 methinks. Holloway to 6 or 8 - he is a talent and is definitely Super 15 standard IMO. Think there are others in the SS that might come through.

    National 7s Championships

Great tournament - hats off to the ARU. Was still amazed about the lack of publicity and awareness in the Rugby world. I know the ARU did try to get it out there however couldn't get main media coverage - as advised earlier in this column. With all the talk about lack of grass roots support, the...

    National 7s Championships

Twas there. The usual suspects did well. Queensland Red are probably the favourites - Matt Lucas plus a few other stars looked good. The NSW Blues also went well. Was impressed with some of the "lower lights". The NT mosquitos & Australian University sides were great to watch and surprised a few.
