3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

I have to say that I disagree with this. I believe that we need the best players available to be playing in this competition and IMO club players from Perth and Melbourne will in most cases not be the best players available. I also think that if there are 3 half backs or hookers at a Super...

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

Depends on your definition of uncontracted players. I think it will be more than 100. There are 175 contracted players in the franchises including EPS. I think that you can take out at least 60 due to Wallabies squad, injuries and those that have decided to go overseas for their next contract...

Players to watch in 2014 - The Goal of the NRC

I think you will find that Wallaby duty and injuries will remove at least 60 players leaving about 115 players. If there are 8 teams of 30, then 240 players are required and there will be about a 50/50 split between super and club rugby. If there are 10 teams, then the majority will be club...

Brock James played SA16s before finishing school at Scots. I can't think of any others from Adelaide.

3rd tier is back in 2014 [Discontinued]

I think they are prepared to receive expressions of interest from any club/organisation who can help them fund the NRC. It seems to me that the reason that the ARU are saying that the NRC will be break even for the ARU is because the clubs will be funding a good portion of it. Otherwise I...

    Brumbies 2014

I wouldn't have thought that Palmer was on much given he was a fringe Waratah when he was signed.

    Shute Shield 2014

4 Shute Shield clubs - Parra, Gordon, Norths, Warringah. Wicks would be No 5. Another poster reported he was going back to Norths.

    Brumbies 2014

Wow - you can't find a spot for McCabe even with all those injuries.

    Shute Shield 2014

Not quite. Beale finished in 2006. That Waratahs final was in 2008. As an aside, he played for the Rams in the ARC between these 2 milestones.

    Shute Shield 2014

Pocock and QC (Quade Cooper) played super rugby first year out. I am pretty sure that Luke Jones did too. I believe CFS is the latest to do so.

How could Warbuton get picked in this team?

They are second cousins, once removed not second cousins based on Lee's explanation of their family relationship.

Player movements for Shute Shield 2014

I assumed that the question was in relation to Sydney clubs. If not, you can add the Force as well.
  18. Eyes and Ears

Player movements for Shute Shield 2014

Parra, Gordon, Norths, Warringah and back to Norths (plus a failed attemp to join Eastwood when he had already committed to Gordon)

Which Clubs are the Class of 2013 going to?

He played 2 years of NSW schoolboys, so IMO that makes him a good acquisition.
