    Round 12: Waratahs v Brumbies Sat 11th 7.35PM @ ALLIANZ STADIUM

That's a brutal way to close out the game. Real contender forward play from the Brumbies

    Round 12: Reds v Rebels Fri 12th 7:35PM @ Suncorp

Hadn't realised just what a gimme of a conversion Gordon missed at 27 min. Obviously you can't say what would have happened, but that last 7 mins looks a lot different if the Rebels are down by 2 and not 4

Super Rugby 2024: NZ, Drua & Moana matches

Great drama , but Blues way offside through every ruck close to the line. The inconsistency from Refs on this drives me crazy

    Wrong thread!

    Round 12: Reds v Rebels Fri 12th 7:35PM @ Suncorp

HIA from an accidental Harry Wilson knee to the head

There is no NRL equivalent. Massive fan base and hugely popular - and it doesn't really matter how poorly they go. Broncos would be the closest.

    Waratahs 2024

I don't think he's necessarily wrong here. The number of pro rugby players worldwide who were identified in NSW must be huge, without even considering how many are also in the NRL. They just can't afford to keep many (most?) of the ones they want to keep.

    Which demographic do you mean?

NBL also smashing their attendance records, they got more than 1 million through the gate this year, with an average >7k

    Australian Rugby / RA

AFL just had its second (round 7) and third (round 8) highest attendance weeks of all time, after having its highest ever in round 1 2024, all over 400,000. The NRL is currently averaging well over 20k for the first time in its history. Seems like some sport discretionary spending is still...

    Round 12: Reds v Rebels Fri 12th 7:35PM @ Suncorp

Think the Reds are significantly better this year, they have already won more games than last year, and would probably be favorites in a home quarter from here if Brumbies slip up. An away qf/semi will be very tough. The scrum is way better and they probably have the best maul in the comp They...

    Round 12: Reds v Rebels Fri 12th 7:35PM @ Suncorp

They were very strict on it for three weeks early last year and then completely gave up on reffing it. The Red's maul is an absolute weapon under Kiss, but a ref one day is going to ping it

    Waratahs 2024

Is he saying NSWRU own the "Waratahs", but RA own Waratahs Ltd? Waratahs ltd's purpose is to run "Waratahs" and rugby in NSW, but not NSWRU?

    Waratahs 2024

Decent Tom Decent interview with Waratahs CEO Paul Doorn today https://www.smh.com.au/sport/rugby-union/it-s-full-on-waratahs-boss-answers-the-tough-questions-after-another-underwhelming-year-20240508-p5gufo.html Don't quite understand this bit

    Waratahs 2024

I hadn't realised Harrison was 24 already. No Wallaby top-up in sight and Tahs tightening their budgets.....He would be getting a significant pay increase in Japan, and at this stage of his career, with his injury risk, he would have to take it. Hopefully he can come back in two years with 40...

    Refereeing decisions

Will be very interesting to see the outcome of this one..... Tackle/ruck/breakdown: A major review of the breakdown through the lens of spectacle and safety – e.g. the impact of contesting the ball on the floor, the practice of jackaling as opposed to an upright driving game.

    Refereeing decisions

Australia's dominance of World Rugby decision-making continues, with scrum option from free-kick removed, and NZ's dominance proven with the 20min red card continuing to be trialled. Not sure which evil SH nations are responsible for the banning of crocodile roll, and the anti-French "players...
