    CAS Rugby 2016

Interesting Alos are playing Branagan at 13 after being a loosie for many years. His defence should be good and will need to be up against Kallis and Towns. Westbury has been playing well for Lane Cove. Should be a good battle of the 10s with Waves' Andrews

Thanks all. @SDW, do you know how long Murphy is likely to be out? Need him for CAS v GPS in June.

Knox 16As v Cranbrook tomorrow attached. Anyone have other team lists?

    CAS Rugby 2016

@Chipkick, I think Barker would have been very strong if all of their year 10 boys were available, but with Tejcek and Reimer, both good leaders (and Mitch Brown? and injured Kitchener) playing up, think they may struggle a bit. Would love to be proved wrong and for Aloys to also be strong as...

"The CAS U16s Coaches will be from Waverley." As they were last year. Anyone know if it is unusual to have CAS rep coaches appointed by the same school 2+ years in a row?

Sorry to hear that about Jack Hoyle. I hope he recovers well.

You must be new around here Ratchet - if we eliminated early season prognostication (players and team results) we'd be on page 4 rather than 40:) .

    I'd be finding a spot for Yirribi Jaffer-Williams (J). 14 will do.

NSW AAGPS - The Next Generation - U16 Competition, and Presidents XV Rep Team

^^^Agree re Williams - good size and mobility for a lock and played a very good 2015/6 JGC campaign in U17s. Don't know Harris, but Zylstra has his work cut out up against some very good front rowers including the 2015 NSW U15s combination of Will McLennan, Maclean Dombkins and Angus Bell.

Theres no "And" re Williams - he's a (very large) part of the "all costs".

To give the Devil his due QH, the goal was probably domination of CAS rather than NSW schools rugby, which Williams achieved last year. But yes, a better show was expected on Sat given the many months of summer rugby. Perhaps a couple more matches could be added to the one played on the annual...

Tough to leave Basson out based on a one sided match vs a very strong Joeys. He was MOTM v Augs in earlier trial and has been a stand out for Knox 1s over past 2 seasons and in a very strong Gordon Rep side that won everything up to U16s. I don't know the Waverly 6 and 8 well, but would be...

I heard Byron Dessent/Hollingsworth from Trinity (16) is playing firsts. Maybe Toomanytries can confirm?

@Rod Skellet, Reimer is still U16s so very much hope they will leave him to help the CAS U16s out.

Maybe they need to get some management consultants in as the scholarship money apparently being spent does not seem to be producing any silverware.

@Rhino, I think enough has been said on the subject. Hopefully the boys will all pull together after the wake up call from Joeys and work hard as a team to show what they are capable of, which is much better than we saw on Saturday.

Anyone know if ACT are sending an U16s team to the NSW State Champs at Blacktown this year?

^^^^QH, I'm not sure that the existence of a quality aquatic facility is evidence of skullduggery. If Knox are offering swimming scholarships (and I have no idea whether they are) they are not terribly successful given their last CAS swim carnival win was in 2003. In fact, they have only won...

    CAS Rugby 2016

@BA ".......the players in question here from my perspective seemed to play just as hard as every other man on the pitch." If the Knox forwards generally, and those boys in particular, had played just as hard as their Joeys counterparts the result would have been much tighter. If however that...
