Regarding the broader issue of good quality coaches plying their trade overseas I am uncertain what the actual solution is. Euro has more money because their market is bigger and they have a high value currency. Australians are incredibly mercenary and are not likely to do anything "for love"...

Just separate the reds from the QRU entirely and there will be a chance that the reds will become a consistently good side. Until that happens, the QRU will fuck up any revivals or winning culture that accidentally arises within the team.

Lucas needs to come off tbh. He's having an incredibly negative impact on the reds performance. Defence by the reds is also a big issue. Very easy metres being made.

It's not the players/player depth that coaches would be looking at when thinking about coming to the reds. It's the QRU. You would have to be a complete novice, or a washed up neverwas to accept working for the QRU in a coaching role given their track record.
