    Rd 16 - Blues v Rebels, Sat 2nd June @3:00pm

Happy Enough with that. Still need a lot of improvement, but getting the overseas win was the most important thing.

Ruru has not been better for us this year than Stirzaker was last.

Samo Malolo is the other hooker in the broader squad list I think. There's a few boys who are playing up in Sydney: I noticed Pama Fou and Ikapote Tupai on the Shute Shield Team Lists this week despite being on that supplementary list named earlier.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

The basic answer is that Europe opens with EVERYONE having an opportunity to make the world cup, but doesn't schedule specific qualifiers except those between divisions.

Rebels vs Brumbies, Friday 9 March AAMI Park, 7.30pm

McCaffrey may be a decent bloke, but he doesn't look like the type that'll do his side any favours when talking to the ref Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Semisi Tupou warming up pretty intently but I can't spot if anyone is missing. Lousy day drinking. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Rebels vs Brumbies, Friday 9 March AAMI Park, 7.30pm

Engo is officially vice captain: given he's in the starting line-up it would be really harsh and almost out of line to give Genia the captaincy. I think Marika was playing right wing for the Wobs in the Autumn Internationals: but has only played left for both the rebels and storm. Sefa is able...

Rebels vs Brumbies, Friday 9 March AAMI Park, 7.30pm

Probably will get a few more through the door regardless: the Masters (probably the best run bit of Rugby in the state) are doing a pair of show fixtures (Wannabees v Old Blacks, Over 45s at roughly 4.30pm then over 35s after) so we should see some extra friends and family in from that. Those...

    Rebels 2018

No, of course not, but it's still a strange proposition. Just off the top of my head, I'm going to exclude Faulkner, Uelese, Coleman, Phillip, Timani, Mafi, Genia, Sefa, Hodge, DHP & Koroibete. Chuck Ainsley in there and Hardwick too for the sake of random injury cover. Team looks like: Adams...

    Rebels 2018

So, Force game on the 9th of June (first week of the June Internationals). Interesting for many reasons. Particularly because we could be missing more than fifteen players to International duties and injury, but still might be able to put out a Super quality side.

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

I'm still a big fan of the IPCR set-up, and see it as a step towards a long term domestic future, but damn, the comments over the past little while have become almost cult-like.

Cottrell is apparently the only injury concern from this week. If Marika is fit, I'd imagine that he'd be into the 23 and Colby into the starting side. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Admit it or not Melbournites are the same as everyone else: they turn up to support winning sides. While we can fuss over the VRU, Sponsorship, whatever, that's the most important thing over this season and beyond: Good Performance is more bums on seats, and more bums on seats = more bums on...

    Super Rugby Round 3 - Sunwolves v Rebels @Japan

Still more to work on: miracle ball stuff especially. But everything seems to be coming together. One week at a time stuff, but continuing to build: particularly with an eye on the Canes game before the first bye is so important, and while we have depth to burn: not losing many, if any, is...

Reds vs Brumbies, Lang Park, 2nd March 2018 @ 7:00pm AEST

TT certainly did a lot better at scrum time last Friday than November when he was losing out to a couple of our looseheads who are particularly low on the pecking order. He'll come good: you just can't expect dominance from a prop that's not even 22 yet: holding his own is more than enough.

    Rebels 2018

I wouldn't bring it up, except for the fact that all his significant performances that led to him getting a Rebels contract came at 13, for both Box Hill and the Rising. His skillset also matches Rona's if Wessels were looking to emulate the backline structure he had created at the Force last...

    Rebels 2018

People here are writing off Meakes as a 13 too quickly IMO. Obviously over here he's played 12 almost exclusively: but his rise to prominence at Gloucester came as an outside center: If I could be bothered, I'd look through my posts and find the ones before he signed for the Force recommending...
