    Australian Rugby / RA

Never suggested 12 teams. I suggested adding 4 more over a 10+ year period. I also suggested that as part of a properly planned pathway community engagement and participation development programs would need to be implemented in the years leading in. I suggested the likes of North Sydney in my...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

That's actually pretty good for a game featuring the Force. Not having a shot but historically games featuring the Force/Rebels games were the lowest drawers.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

That's a big part of my thinking in suggesting rep squads. In any such structure I think total representation is a must. But I don't like the idea of Shute and QPR clubs annihilating clubs from other regions. I'd rather see a structure with 3 from each of the above plus the winner of the John...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yep. If a proper WS franchise were to ever appear. My allegiances would immediately flip to it over the Tahs. The ARC failed due to being too close to the clubs. Providing them with too much ability to directly comment on the competitions and drive discontent among the bases. This even extends...

    Australian Rugby / RA

We don't need to have 5 franchises from NSW or 4 in Queensland. We don't necessarily even need a purely domestic based competition. What we need is for any structure which in all likelihood will be a TT competition to be run as a commercial enterprise with a defined pathway for growth from a 12...

Super Rugby AU Rd 9 Force v Waratahs

Don't think there has been a bad game on FTA this season.

Super Rugby AU Rd 9 Force v Waratahs

Who the fuck made that call. Especially with Horton throwing.

Super Rugby AU Rd 9 Force v Waratahs

Yep. Seems like they are just cycling through the phases. Want to see them look to really step up the physicality.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Just looking for a means to make it a little more inclusive. But if no rep squad then I'd still look to involve 10 clubs with either 3 from Brisbane and Sydney and then the winner of each of the other three competition the winner of a play off between the 2nd place Canberra and Perth team. Or...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I'd expand them from 4 to 5 and include a WA, ACT and Vic rep squad to assume the wildcard and two extra place. 4 games a piece with pool winners play in the final. 5 weeks in total.

Stan now has the Rainbow Cup/Pro 16. I've provided a direct link to the Tom Decent tweet but it isn't showing. You can see it via this reddit link. https://www.reddit.com/r/rugbyunion/comments/mrwveh/stan_sport_aus_obtains_pro14_rights/

    Where to for Super Rugby?

When the conversation about SoU first came up this is what I actually preferred. A 'Green vs Gold' Series. So I'd support what you're suggesting. In fact, I like both ideas and think they should implemented in some form or the other. I would like to suggest a few tweaks though. Instead of RA...

Japanese Top League - Now showing on Stan!

There's a definite gap between the top 6 and the rest. Which makes for some very lopsided games and viewing experiences. But when those top 6 teams meet. It's good.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

It's more to provide more content if they opt for an single round robin and a Cup competition between it and Japan doesn't materialise. If we get say 16 rounds and the Cup comp. Then it wouldn't be necessary.

    Waratahs 2022

Reckon that will be enough time to reacclimate to the game before France? I mean. I'll welcome his return. Just hope that if it happens he can make the transition as seamlessly as possible. As for RWV I remember watching him play for the Sunwolves and thinking 'how the hell did we let this...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Might as well make it Green vs Gold and remove any specific mention of states/territories. Or just go with NSW, Qld and PI with ACT and Vic natives falling into NSW and as you suggest. WA and the rest with Queensland. That's three pretty strong squads I reckon.

    Waratahs 2022

It appears so. Played 12 for the Sunwolves as well. From the brief clip I found he appears to be pretty dynamic.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

My thinking on the Origin competition featuring NSW, QLD, Nth & Sth Islands (using the Maori names) plus a combined squad if we only go with a single round is based around not only providing more content but allowing national selectors a sort of built in trial system across several weeks. As...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Well, it's been published in the SMH as well. So, I would assume it's somewhat on the level. I think what we'll see now is them fleshing out a format. I suspect NZ will want a Super 12 throwback while RA will want something a little more substantial. Ultimately it will be on the broadcasters...
