RWC 2011 - Pool A - NZ, Tonga, France, Japan, Canada

The man can break a tackle. we relied too much on him to get across the gain line however, and will need to remedy that for the french contest.

    RWC - Wallabies v Ireland - 17th September 2011

Agreed. the exclusion of sharpe continues to perplex me. Great to see Mitchell back. Fantastic work by him to get fit again. Looking forward to see if A Faainga is up to the job with BOD. This will make or break him. If he does a good job, he won't be moving anywhere for awhile, but I...

RWC 2011 - Pool A - NZ, Tonga, France, Japan, Canada

He played for Auckland last year (ITM not Super 15) as an injury replacement. he didn't get much game time though. shortly after he injured his shoulder and was out for ages. he is a great player and very hard working. I believe he lacks a euro passport - which is why he can't get a gig over...

    RWC - Wallabies v Ireland - 17th September 2011

definitely agree with you on Sharpe coming in. he should be there day in day out! Deans hasn't done a 4:3 split in awhile and I don't see him changing tactics now.

RWC 2011 - Pool A - NZ, Tonga, France, Japan, Canada

Canadian side to face Tonga 1. Hubert Buydens (Saskatoon, SK, Prairie Wolf Pack/CRC, Saskatoon Wild Oats, Walter Murray/University of Saskatchewan) 2. Pat Riordan (captain) (Surrey, BC, BC Bears/CRC, Burnaby Lake, Tamanawis Secondary/University of Victoria) 3. Jason Marshall (North...

    RWC - Wallabies v Ireland - 17th September 2011

As in a previous thread. Bring Mitchell on for the first half and take Ant off. But a more versatile and attacking barnes onto the bench shift him on just after half, mccabe out onto the wing and bring mitchell off for a spell. Ant didn't do much for me yesterday. you need that spart on...

Digby Ioane with suspected broken hand

The back line looked a lot sharper when Ant came off, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) slotted into 13 and O'connor was on. I would say keep the backline how it ended and bring mitchell on. He got through the canada game well. if he wasn't fit, he wouldn't be there. personally i didn't think much of ant's game. provided...

Channel 9 continues the tradition of absymal free to air rugby coverage...

i asked a friend back home what kind of coverage the RWC was getting in canada. his reply "fantastic, click on the link http://tsn.ca/rugby/feature/?id=47571 " basically every single game. that's on a free to air channel. most games are on tsn2, the 'gem' equivalent, but a heap are on the...

    Wallabies vs BaaBaas

the old warhorse doesn't quite have the gas to go head to head with drew mitchell i'd say! maybe jamie or stirling will be coming off the bench? i'd love to see juan martin hernandez at full back....but i'm presuming he'll still be out?

    The definitive Rugby Pub Guide

Interesting call as I'd rather be able to click on my city and see the pubs, but i'll roll with the punches and play by the rules! East Brunswick Club - Melbourne - Large open dining room with unfettered access to two large screens hoisted up on opposite walls. - One big screen is directly...

    Melbourne Rugby Pubs

To follow up on the Sydney version of this - Pubs in Melbourne dedicated to rugby. Brunswick/East Brunswick - East Brunswick club is showing every single rugby world cup game. they have two dedicated big screen tvs anyone else know of others post them up.

    Ch9 RWC coverage

they applied, successfully, to be able to play wallabies games on gem and mate. they are able to play any other game on gem or mate. that is my understanding. verrrrrrrrrrrrry frustrating. i really dislike this network. also, per their ad. new zealand isn't the youngest country on earth! south...

    Ch9 RWC coverage

Just ridiculous. I'll congratulate them on showing all the quarters games and onwards. I half expected them to only show the wallabies quarter final.... I would love to know the ARU's thoughts on this programming schedule. it defies the imagination that a network with 3 channels and zero good...

    Ch9 RWC coverage

Best bet without foxtel is to rock up to your local rugby flavored pub, order a jug and watch. my local is showing every single game. couldn't be happier. alternatively, foxtel basic package plus sports package is going for $50 a month on a 1 year contract with free installation etc...

Potential upsets at this years WC - year of the minnow?

will be interesting to see dan parks defend agains that.

Potential upsets at this years WC - year of the minnow?

as above, I don't all the names...good chance they end in 'villi' though. their number 8 gorgdoze in particular is a beast. he plays for montpellier and is just ferocious all around the park. their tight head and loose head are both very strong. along with kubriashvilli at toulon, i...
