    Nathan Sharpe and the Scrum

So which players have the biggest arse then?

    Nathan Sharpe and the Scrum

There seems to be an opinion around (especially on another site) that Nathan Sharpe does not push in the scrums. What is the go here? Does he? Does anyone know? Im not a second row expert, but surely the only people who could know are the props in front of him and the scrum coach? I...

Rugby World Cup. In What Universe

He is bigger than Giteau (180cm, 88kg compared to 178cm, 85kg) Edit: And Barnes who is 183cm and 87kg

    Quade Cooper and Summer Digressions

Wow people change their minds quickly! We were just 3 months ago considering that our flyhalf woes had been solved. We were also in a mad panic about the NRL snatching Quade and that he would be the most important player to the Wallabies leading into the world cup next year. As far as I am...

Rugby World Cup. In What Universe

If we are to sack Deans, what is the option? The only viable option is Link, and I think that he needs to back up the Qld year to be in contention. Also, Robbie inhereted a team that had been living off of the exploits of Bernie, Gregan, Mortlock, Latham, Vickerman and Smith. Those guys are...

    Western Force 2011

Was he any good, or just running off of his brothers name? en force er, I was also a little surprised that Siliva Siliva didnt head to Melbourne, given that he is behind both Charles and Whittaker - both of whom are young and likely to be around for a while, but neither being experienced enough...

    Western Force 2011

It is quite good. And then there is Bartholomeuz, Mafi and Stannard on the bench. There is also Pat Dellit and Rory Sidey who I am interested to see how they go in the top league. Depth is a bit of an issue mind. If Ripia goes down at all, we are looking at Stannard or OConnor to take over the...

    The Wallaby Reputation

That England team looked bloody good. Had they played like that for both halves last week they could have well rolled the ABs. They played for 2 halves against us and did roll us. Yeah sure its 5 vs 2. But its 5 at home and in form. We are also in form but our game plan was wrong. I think we...

    The Wallaby Reputation

England were very good last night, and showed in the second half against the ABs that this wasnt a fluke. We were beaten by a better team. And England are not to be taken lightly at Twickenham. We did some stupid things sure. Not keeping the ball in hand meant that we couldnt really get our...

Do we really need a playmaker @ 12?

OConnor is listed at 88kg and 180cm. That is similar to Barnes (87kg and 183cm) and bigger than Giteau (178cm and 85 kg). He is a lot bigger than he was when he was 18. He is not too small for inside centre.

Is there any word as to whether Smith has actually signed? Last word was that he was thinking about it but there was nothing concrete

    TPN being flown to Europe

Read my post from earlier on. We need to win this weekend. I want to go undefeated through this EOYT. We may have been comfortable against England if Squeaky was fit. But since he has had back spasms, we might not be comfortable. That means the risk analysis in regard to leaving TPN at home...

    TPN being flown to Europe

I guess the big question about this is how important is it to beat the English this weekend? If the world cup is all that matters then we should leave TPN at home to make sure he has no niggle. If we think it important to beat the English this weekend, then reconsidering the status of TPNs...

Ioane - Where Does He Fit In?

Exactly. I asked the question because the current back three are playing very well. I was not sure if we wanted to break that back three up. I would like to see Ioane in gold as I think he offers balance to the side. We have a lot of players that can set up play, but not many who will run hard...

    TPN being flown to Europe

If TPN is fit get him over. Edmonds shouldn't have gone in the first place, Charles or Fitzpatrick should have gone instead.

    Wallabies v Leicester Tigers

Im nervous about this game. I dont think our front row matches up against the Tigers, and our backs (who are very good even in the second string team) wont see much ball. Edit: And the rumour is that both Castrogiovvani and Ayerza are going to be available for Leicester :(

Ioane - Where Does He Fit In?

Id like to see JOC (James O'Connor) at 12 and Ioane on one of the wings. But I am not sure that Deans will drop Giteau. Plus if Giteau can get back to where he was 2 or 3 years ago, he will be a tremendous asset.

Ioane - Where Does He Fit In?

When he comes back from injury, assuming he finds form, where does he fit into this squad? I want him in the Wallabies because he runs hard and straightens. We dont havbe enough guys in the team who do that - AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is the only one. I cant see JOC (James O'Connor) being dropped. But equally, it will be very...
