George Smith to Sanyo Wild Knights

Apologies for the poor grammar, it was an article in French. 800k euros a year! He would be mad not to take it. http://www.rugby365.fr/infos-clubs/toulon/article_481533_Toulon-Smith-au-Japon.shtml

Strengths and weaknesses of Super teams

Slim, who will partner Chisholm in the second row? Hand is quite a good player, but Id like to have Kimlin or Chapman on the field too, and they wont be there with Elsom at 6. Also, Ive heard a lot about Coleman, but dont know much. I had thought he was a quick outside back, but you have him in...

Strengths and weaknesses of Super teams

Ill have a crack at the Force then: Props: (Tim Fairbrother, Pekahou Cowan, Matt Dunning, Paul Alo-Emile, Kieren Longbottom, Cruze Ah-Nau (academy)) This is definitely an area of weakness for the Force. Fairbrother isnt a bad TH at super rugby level. But Cowen is a poor scrummager and has been...

    Western Force 2011

Doubt it. Turner is looking good but has some work to do. And I cant see there being a fit Turner either. I didnt think he was fit until late in the season, is why they bought in Stannard.

    Physically Imposing XV

You could argue AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at 15, allowing for another big 13 like a Jauzion or someone to step in.

Force to be challenged by a Mungo side?

Suncorp would have no problems with another team playing there. There are 9 Melborune based AFL teams playing out of 2 stadiums. They dont have a problem. And then there is cricket at the MCG in summer too.

World Test XV 2010 - Halfback

I was a big fan of Youngs. The English looked far more dangerous when he came on the field for Care in the first test against us. He was chirpy, he knew how to draw players, when to run, when to pass, etc, and he was quick to the ruck.

Which oz players will retire or play overseas after rwc 2011

And given Brown's versatility, he would be considered for a bench spot before Waugh too - he can play 6, 7 and 8. Hodgson can as well.

World Test XV 2010 - Outside Backs - Nominations

Ahh, you mean the trick he uses to score countless trys?

World Test XV 2010 - Loose Forward - Nominations

Has anyone mentioned Harinordaquay yet? He was nominated for a player of the year award after all.

Which oz players will retire or play overseas after rwc 2011

He is always grumpy. And besides he and Giteau are just keeping JOCs position warm for him.

Which oz players will retire or play overseas after rwc 2011

I would be surprised to see the Fuse go, only because he is set up with an architectural firm over here I thought?

Which oz players will retire or play overseas after rwc 2011

I had a feeling Sharpe had committed to the Force for to at least 2012. But could be wrong. IMO it will be Giteau, Barnes, Rocky at least. Possibly AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Cooper, Ioane and Moore could go too. Edit: How much will it have to do with how we go? If we win it will players go because they have...

World Test XV 2010 - Outside Backs - Nominations

I havent seen enough of him, but was Ashton that good? He scored an excellent try against us, but a lot of that was set up by Ben Youngs drawing the defenders, Ashton still had some work to do mind. Has he done much else?

    Rocky's Captaincy

Just a thought, if Rocky does hold up Bill next year, do you think he will smile. Or will it be the trademark frown* *copyright Rocky Elsom 2010

    Western Force 2011

Fair enough. I guess I am optimistic. I have hopes that Inman will build on his season last year and challenge for a Wallaby squad spot in the RWC. And I hope Cummins will get back to where he was last year prior to his injury - this year wasnt as good as last. And I have high hopes that one of...
