    Waratahs 2012

It wasn't a flash game from the tahs, too much bad kicking, silly penalties, but I think some credit has to go to the Force for creating that pressure too. Great to see. Barnes to 10 (judicious kicking as you've been doing at 12 please), TC in to give them some starch, or Hangers refinds his...

    Chiefs v Brumbies Super Rugby R4 2012

Brumbies grew as a side this week, you can see the teamwork building well. Rapt for them to do so well against one of the lightning rod teams of the comp. As for snore-a-thon, I like flowing rugby as much as anyone, but I have been loving the gutsy battles we have seen from some of the games...

    Chiefs v Brumbies Super Rugby R4 2012

don't we all, but it's going to be a very tall order, Chiefs by a strong margin for me, anything closer a credit to the Brumbies.

Waratahs v Highlanders - Super Rugby round 3

Others would say that the difference between the Rebels and the Tahs is that the Rebels have won games no one expected them to win, the Tahs have lost games no one expected them to lose! Rebels are only in season 2, from where I sit they're doing pretty well for a new franchise based in a...

Are the Brumbies up the Creek..

You forgot condescending smug smirker, and I'm not sure the taxation argument is anything but boltsian rhetoric, but otherwise full points Sir!

    The Tom Carter incident

Seems TC is as good at causing dissent on G&G as he is in an opposition team! His biggest sin it seems to me is that he isn't an exciting player; we Aussies seem to be mesmerised by dynamic centres. Carter is more in the Bunce mold than the Horan mold. I daresay if he also conducted himself...

    The Tom Carter incident

One of the things Carter impressed me with last night at the game was his leadership in the defensive line, it seems to me he plays good positional rugby, keeping his head in attack and defence. The bigger surprise to me however was how crisp and long a couple of his passes were.

    Did Joubert feel the pressure?

    A bigpu?

    Brumbies 2012

From what I have seen of Pat McCabe I think it would be rash to underestimate his ability to learn and deliver for his team.

You've nailed it right there WJ.

Jay I have a bridge to sell, there's a commission in it for you if Lardelli and whatever Maori trust he is with pays up.

    Rougeries's eye gouge

That isn't a fist, it isn't clenched. It's conceivable it was before the photo happened, but as it stands punching someone with that is more likely to hurt your hand than the cheekbone it's hitting if you hit it with any real power. Knee looks about as ineffective as quade's effort. Brussouws...

    Rougeries's eye gouge

    In a scrum?

    Rougeries's eye gouge

Doubt it would be 6 months, Ghiraldini got 15 weeks, but totally unacceptable. But then so was Burgers on Pocock. And how did Kepu cop that eye he got in the semi? Do the citing commission actually do anything if no complaint is laid, you'd be forgiven for thinking no.

    The Haka

Hey Teach, off topic, but your sig has taken on a whole new meaning since last Sunday. I prefer the hitchhikers guide version 'don't panic' as the opener though, has more kick to it. Back on topic, anyone who knows kiwi rugby would know kiwis love the teams that front up to the ABs. That's...

    Rebels 2012

A cynic would say he's used to that already Blue!

    Did Joubert feel the pressure?

Joubert had the most stressful job of anyone on that field. Players too busy playing their hearts out. Refs play a crucial role in our game, and all we can do, IMO, is ask that they are consistent, knowledgeable of their responsibilities, and fair. To take refs out of the equation would...

    The Haka

Ratings up, angry letters from mums and fuss pots up, media whinging up, IRB smiles down I'd reckon IS!

    kiwis and 4 more years,

Most of them are to young to have seen it, don't go dredging that up, we'll never hear the end of it!
