    Wallabies v Argentina @ CommBank Stadium 7.45pm Sat 15/07

This is bias BR his defence was fine and regardless we don’t select fly halves for their defence or we’d have our mate Hodge starting there. Coopers defence has improved exponentially over the last couple of years, and more importantly it seems we finally have two capable players at 10.

    Wallabies 2023

Mark isn’t playing in the centres- it remains a senile suggestion.

How can Carter Gordon have demonstrated he’s better selection that Quade when he’s played 10 for all of 10 minutes and played 12 for 70? You might be showing some bias BR. What he has shown is that he will in time be a very capable test player, and probably has versatility to play at 12 and...

Australia A - Back on the Cards

    He’s also not very good.

This response isn’t remotely in context of what happened in this situation.

People also underestimate how hard it is to win away in international rugby (and South Africa especially). We won most of the games over 2022/22 because they were in Australia.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

I like that Australian A side s lot- the only question mark for me is if Ollie Sapsford has really shown enough to get there (or we might be light on depth).

Did we really play any different from the way we played with Rennie? Just a lot worse?

    Wallabies 2023

We were beaten because it was a second string team which seems to be constantly overlooked. Had we selected our strongest side we would have won in a canter. We nearly beat the two strongest sides in the world on that tour.

100% - He should be dropped but he didn’t get much help from his inside men. Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) is hardly a known defender too.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

Kerevi shouldn’t be a bench player- he either starts or shouldn’t be in the 22; he’s a fantastic crash baller who looks better in structured football than when it gets loose. I hate to flog a dead horse but let’s stop with the bullshit about Hodge and utility. He offers very little upside and I...

T Hooper was good in the lineout, had a couple of carries and hit a few rucks. As my mate Digestif said above he made a few poor reads where he wasn’t aided by teammates but generally I though a decent debut. We played better with him on the field than off it.

Good team but I also think we’re at the stage where this should be M Hooper‘s last shot; he needs a blinder or he’s out.

I agree with this and think that eventually he will become a pretty handy rugby player. Unfortunately playing for the Wallabies in a World Cup year is not the time to do it.

Rennie was building something with the team (and before the people get hysterical about the Italy game, remember it was a gamble playing our second strong team). Jones is stuck in the 2019 box-kick/ kick everything era; thinking he had Farrell and George out there. The honeymoon is definitely...

Quade was honestly fine. I think we are finally in a position where we have two quality fly halves in Gordon and QC (Quade Cooper)- let’s use that luxury to ease Gordon into it with a couple of 20/ 30 minute cameos.

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

Not many positives in this game to be honest but once SA got momentum it was always going to be hard to stop. Some other points: - Apart from our starting front row (and potentially Frost) our forward back was completely outclassed with an uncharacteristic poor game from Valetini. - Skelton...

This is a terrible take- Quade was good and even tackled. We have far bigger issues than that.

I think the Hodge selection has less to do with tactics and more the combination of Kerevi being a little undercooked and Eddie testing whether Hodge is actually a viable option at 12 (in the case Kerevi is unavailable) I have a feeling that Hodge must be the best trainer on the planet because...
