All of them well deserved selections too.

    Wallabies 2023

You mean that influence that has won him four John Eales and eight Matt Burke awards as chosen by his peers? The influence that has him basically universally respected by players?

Ok so let’s bring in Ben Donaldson instead.

For 15 minutes when we were already fucked. He hasn’t had any game time with a dominant forward pack this year and front foot ball.

    Wallabies 2023

He hasn’t had the opportunity to play behind a dominant forward pack this year. Who knows how we would have looked against the ABs.

    Wallabies 2023

The best the Wallabies have played in the last 5 years was when we had the 10/12/13 axis of Quade, Kerevi and Ikitau in 2021 where we were thumping SA. I still firmly believe that is our strongest combination.

A World Cup without Quade is genuinely not worth watching.

I’ll respond with a longer comment later but if this is true he’s going to have QC (Quade Cooper) and MH sniping at him for the rest of his career because both of them will be involved in media.

Surely you take MHoopen on tour purely for his experience and leadership even if he’s not going to play. He’s going to add more overall than the 40 mins that Donaldson plays against Georgia.

    Waratahs 2023

I’m adamant that when he played well, the ‘tahs played well. There was no one more important to the team.

I thought Gordon was there most important player (and has been for the last few years).

Your Most Despised Test Rugby Side

Where’s the lack of hatred for Ireland? They’ve turned into the most arrogant side in world rugby based on playing shit box-kick rugby and importing Aussies and New Zealanders, yet claiming it’s all to do with systems and centralization.

My response was more to do with whether he’s the long-term solution at 12 for Australia- which I don’t think he is. I completely agree that there is a need for these fringe players to play more professional football.

I’ve watched a bit of him playing Shute Shield and he doesn’t actually look that good. But in saying that his brother never looked great in Super Rugby and look at him now.

Is there any potential for Ikitau to be developed in to an inside centre? Has good hands and a big left foot.

    His surname is more impressive.

    Wallabies 2023

Generous, being a good junior footballer doesn’t automatically make him a good professional one. The guy has had a lot of opportunities and hasn’t shown much: the criticism is valid.

    Wallabies 2023

If Quade doesn’t knock that ball on yesterday we’d all be worshipping him. He hasn’t had a whole lot of football, he’s a reliable kicker now and more importantly there is no one else.

Fair enough but don’t get surprised when Ikitau walks back into the 13 jersey (and most people agree with my post).
