Ikitau is world-class- gee people have a short memory. I think we are pretty close to locking in our best 23. The changes being Tupou, M Hooper (potentially) and Ikitau coming back in. Nonggorr, McReight and Ikitau come back in. Also think that Holloway might add more than Leota as well.

He couldn’t be in worse than Hodge.

    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

Junior rugby in Australia has been obsessed with structure for the last twenty years. It’s how you end up with plodders like Hodge and Mack Mason at fly-half who are good at kicking and playing for four phases maximum, but genuinely don’t know how to do a thing outside of that.

    Bledisloe 2 2023 @ Dunedin 12:35PM Sat 5 Aug

If Kerevi isn‘t breaking tackles it’s a bit of a problem because he’s not doing much else. His kicking has improved but he’s not setting up his outside men.

Ha I thought I could have been in trouble there- regardless the team has only regressed since Eddie can on board.

We lost to Italy using a second string team!! We were also beating South Africa and Argentina, and legitimately pushing NZ.

    More recently than Eddie did..

I can tell you he was well liked by the playing group- take that as you want.

You guys underestimate how much the playing group backed Rennie; while there were injuries there was a great culture within the group that’s probably been eroded with the introduction of Jones. I think in reality we traded a good coach for a lesser one who has been living on his reputation for...

    Bledisloe 1: 29 July @ MCG

@Braveheart81, I remember an argument we had a few weeks ago when you suggested that Petaia couldn’t be considered a potential 13- it turns out he’s the second string outside centre after all…

    CAS Rugby 2023

One last comment and I think this is the most important here; if the referee had blown his whistle and the play was ‘dead’, then under no circumstances can that try be given. Award Barker a scrum if you believe the call has disadvantaged them but no way can a try be given, regardless of the...

Agreed regardless of Wrights form, he still brings better utility value at 11/12/13/14/15 than Donaldson or Vunivalu. At this stage of his career, Wright should be a wing or 23 or the Wallabies. He needs to spend more time at 15 in Super Rugby working on his consistency.

    Love a rational take.

    Wallabies 2023

I don’t think anyone has once said he should be starting, the point is that he has shown he could play 12 if we ever needed him to (ie as third string option).

    Wallabies 2023

As third string inside centre? Yeah maybe.

    Wallabies 2023

I agree about Kemeny but not so sure about Carter to be honest. I think he showed enough that he might be considered before a Paisami or Hodge (obviously not Kerevi or Foketi though).

    Wallabies 2023

Rennie wouldn’t have lost a home game against Argentina.

    Wallabies 2023

I feel like Foketi is the lowest risk option at this stage (especially with Petaia injured). He won’t set the world on fire but defensively should be okay. Perese would get eaten alive.

Ever since you’ve joined this forum you’ve been pretty quick to criticise but sensitive yourself. If you understood anything about backline players you’d realize that he doesn’t have the awareness (both defensive and with his options in attack) nor attacking style (tendency to try and always go...
