    Wallabies 2023

A star junior player in union (or league, and remember we are competing for talent that play both) simply doesn’t need to be a fantastic kicker because it’s not rewarded or incentivized in the way the games played. How do you motivate a thirteen year old to become a great kicker when they...

Do you still see Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) as the long-term solution in the outside centre position SMI?

It does make you wonder what Wright could be if he was playing the 25 plus games of consistent football a year that the guys get in Europe.

I’d be pretty happy signing Tom Wright for the Waratahs as a starting wing/ general outside back- I think he‘s close to being an elite outside back in Super Rugby- Jason Woodward was never at that level.

Ultimately going to league would be a pretty high-risk move for him. Unless there’s a material difference in pay (or he loves the sport) I wouldn’t take it..

You missed my point- Koribete isn’t a strike winger in the old fashioned way of being evasive and breaking tackles; he’s a workrate winger. Koribete‘s value comes from his huge work rate off the ball. I’d argue Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) is of a different but equal caliber because we needs guys who can beat a man.

Have you seen Koribete consistently break tackles in the last couple of years?

It‘s a real stretch to put Hooper on the dickhead spectrum for swinging on a stop sign compared to the average behaviour of a footballer on a night out.

    Not as wings though.

    Waratahs 2024

More important than speed for a league winger is having the physicality to make 10 plus kick returns a match against a complete defensive line- being able to start a set from a positive first tackle is huge.

Also he might not have been good enough to play any higher at the time. Marky Mark (Nawaqanitawase) is hardly a huge underdog story.

If the feedback from England is that he seemingly can’t relate to the modern player or that became increasingly deranged- then you can overlook a single win over the Springboks with Japan.

I’d also question how much due diligence McLennan did before signing a contract with Jones. Did he speak to anyone from the English rugby set-up about Jones? Did they have detailed conversations about what went wrong last time Eddie was leading the Wallabies? Jones was always likely to be a...

This is some wild old man yelling at cloud- type stuff. Who did he isolate? Do you think Carter Gordon is horrendously upset? Carters probably rational enough to admit that the team needed some experienced players to support them. He basically said out loud what everyone in the squad is...

Board members (and CEOs) can never publicly admit mistakes simply due to self-preservation. The acknowledgement would be used against them by various stakeholders (vested interests, proxy advisors, etc.) and your position is even more untenable- Directors simply shouldn’t make mistakes is...

The guy is an advertising executive- he’s not close to private equity. People (and this isn’t personal) should really go and have a look at his background.
