    Coaching Options for Qld Rugby

I like Howard as the coaching option. He did well in England and I think his experience at the ARU and CA would be a big advantage. He wants to be based in Brisbane but the travel might be a factor with his young family.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2015

TT I have little to no rugby involvement so far this year. This weekend will be my first chance to get out and watch. I'm keen to see how Hedger has Bond going. I rate him highly as a coach and from all reports he is enjoying his time on the GC.

Reds v Waratahs, round 4, Saturday 7 March

It normally pulls up badly after a concert there so the addition of the rain and then the Foo Fighters may not make it the best place to play.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2015

When I left school we player Colts (U19) and then transitioned into U21's. I think 1995 was the last year it was a proper competition as I player 1st Grade (Premier) in 1996 when still eligible for U21 as there wasn't a comp any more. U21's was the best fun I had in rugby, mostly due to...

I no longer work at Sunnybank TT so I have no knowledge about how they are going. I am looking at heading down to St Lucia on Saturday to watch Uni play Bond.

    Queensland Junior Rugby

My oldest son has chosen to play soccer this year and their fees are higher. From all the sports I have been involved with at club level with kids rugby still seems to be quite cheep. I do feel there is a general disinterest in rugby at the moment. It will be hard work at Rugby HQ as a RWC...

The cohort that started in prep are now in year 7. When they finish I expect the colts age to rise. Increasing the Colts age now could actually decrease numbers as guys could be 17 playing against 20 year olds.

Reds v Waratahs, round 4, Saturday 7 March

As things stand I would like to see Frisby at 10 this weekend. put JOC (James O'Connor) at 15 or on the wing. Tapuai to the bench as he can play 10 at a pinch and can be put on at 12 if Ant gives us more of the same. Forwards play will be a big thing in this game. I like how some of the Reds young guys are...

    Reds 2015

I agree that JOC (James O'Connor) will be good for the Reds, just not at 10. It's a real issue for the team while Quade's out. Anyone from QPR ready to step up? We are looking a bit lost in attack. I can't recall a set backline move from the last two weeks, I missed the Brumbies game. Had to do with no one...

Highlanders v Reds Super Rugby 2015 Rnd 3

I thought Genia was one of the better players tonight. Backed up a good game last week. JOC (James O'Connor) will be really good when not at 10. I think a roving wing role will suit him. Gill and Thompson were both good and we had the better of the scrum at some stages. Think it might be a long year for...

    Reds 2015

I think injuries and injury prevention are the big concerns. If a coach is going to blame injuries for poor performance then the S&C guys are going to come under fire. The best S&C guys have the players in good condition with few injuries.

    National 7s Championships

The junior national 7's is on this weekend at the same ground. There is a girls and a women's event too. I actually think the pathway is looking clearer. I the future I think they will be looking to hold the event towards the end of the year so as not to impact so heavily on the XV's programs.

    Reds 2015

Maybe the Reds should look at the training system that the Tah's introduced last year. They had a great run of keeping most of the guys on the field. It won't help this season but if they were to be involved from the end of the Super season then it would give them 6 months to work with the guys...

I play to the crowd TT. It's pretty simple just give you a hard time and wait for the reaction, people love it. ;) I'm looking forward to the season this year, I have no club involvement and will spend a bit more time at St Lucia than I have been able to do in the past.

Highlanders v Reds Super Rugby 2015 Rnd 3

It was last week. The commentators made a comment about everyone in the Zoo winning tickets there. I think a lot will be back this week as they were having a wonderful time.

Yeah good point. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't want to be running around on a park where spectators are only 5m away giving him a mouthful.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2015

I think ASADA might have a bigger say TT. 4 years for supplying so that would keep him out of all sport until he was 32.

Hedger is a great pick up for Bond. Not only is he a quality coach but has a history in coach education so should be able to strengthen those around him.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2015

I can't see any change to the Premier comp in the short term. Clubs will have less money from 2015 on so they will be looking to spend less, not more. The only way a team from outside Brisbane, other than the coast teams, will enter the comp will be if they pay all the travel like the Vikings...
