Watched the first 5 mins of the Japan v NZ game from 2013 and he hits the ball up a few times. I'd like to watch the entire game before I'm convinced he's the solution. Also it looks like 6 would be his position.

Have to agree. They are a University that offers sporting scholarships. Most of them do. If they were all for rugby it would be different but they aren't. So the rugby players who apply for them have to compete against World Champions and Olympians.

I think he has potential but the only clips I've seen of him have been against an amateur Tongan team. If there were highlights of his game against NZ then it would be different. I might try and find that game on Youtube and watch it again. I could change my opinion.

Impact in Japan and impact in Super Rugby are very different things.

I actually have no issue with the Rising thumping teams. If they can build support for rugby in Melbourne and get their form to flow onto the Rebels it will be great. One of the reasons behind the comp is to grow the game.

How do you think Tui will be better than Schatz? Tui will be lucky to be on the bench with Quirk in the mix.

Surely they'd just offer him a 3 year contract and it would allow him to play in Japan of France in 2016? If not what have they added this option? It would allow him to still play for the Wallabies and also test himself in France and make some extra $$$.

Talk is that a reserve grade coach from another north side club might be off the Shaw Rd to do Prems.

Team trained at Sunnybank yesterday. RG was there too. Not sure what involvement he has though.

I can't see Logan getting into the Premier comp in 2015. They need at least 12 months preparation to get everything lined up. If the QRU want them in Premier rugby in 2016 they should tell them sooner rather than only giving them a few months to sort themselves out.

Was talking to a couple of GPS boys who said they were approached to move to Souths. Both couldn't see the point as they would have to drive across town to train and really enjoyed the atmosphere at GPS. I guess club culture will have an effect on players moving.
