Reds v Rebels, Super Rugby Round 16, 1 June 2013

RedsHappy Could not agree with your post more. Especially e). No matter what people say, he is an absolute legend to kids around Australia AND New Zealand and he gets the game more publicity (yes good and bad) than any other player past or present. The number of times I have heard phrases...

Reds v Rebels, Super Rugby Round 16, 1 June 2013

I thought after the Stormers game, and even more so last night, that he has accepted Deans will not pick him and is just playing the footy he wants to play. He isn't defending in the front line and he is still offloading a heap (i personally think the offloads are good, even with the turnovers...

Reds v Rebels, Super Rugby Round 16, 1 June 2013

I'm glad that's the only thing you took out of my post. I said attacking, not clearing but I take your point and accept that his kicking was crap and I should not have had that one aspect in my post... Don't write him off yet. If it's his first dislocation you can get away with a heap of rehab...

Lol quade was a better playmaker for the rebels than O'Connor was.

Lol you weren't the Red monks were you? Those blokes were hilarious.

Reds v Rebels, Super Rugby Round 16, 1 June 2013

Don't know about that, he was up in the line a fair bit but its funny how a 20 year old league convert is preferred at 10 to the wallabies flyhalf in waiting...

Reds v Rebels, Super Rugby Round 16, 1 June 2013

Sure but I reckon there would be a fair few international coaches who would've wanted his try, passes, attacking kicks and ability to take on the line. I am not saying that excuses his costly errors but its amazing how he can go from a stumbling fool to a genius in the same half. I was at the...

Reds v Rebels, Super Rugby Round 16, 1 June 2013

That match told the story I thought. Quade was both brilliant and a villain at the same time. JOC (James O'Connor) was invisible but consistent and made 0 errors, just what Deans wants. Cooper gave away 14 points which is completely unacceptable but looked miles ahead of O'Connor when directing the Reds around...

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

You still don't get it qwerty... this is the close minded attitude that will leave union in the dust behind NRL and AFL. There is a reason it only applies to Australians - we are the only country with such heavy competition for football codes and yet all our national coach wants to do is play...

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

To be fair, we have never been as good at kicking as any other top tier nation. That includes goal kicking, kicking for touch and usually kicking in game although our tactical kicks have been getting better lately. Just going to say it - I reckon it's one of the reasons we have to concentrate...

Waratahs Crusaders Friday 31st May 5:40pm AEST

Cheika joins the ref bagging bandwagon ;) Completely warranted though, as have been i'd say 75% of McKenzie's claims. Not saying that I have the answer or that I'd do a better job but there needs to be a look into how it is all run (from TMOs to scrums to assistant referees).

    Brumbies vs Hurricanes - Round 16 - 31 May 2013

Fun fun. Quick arthroscopic reco and 3 months recovery?

Waratahs Crusaders Friday 31st May 5:40pm AEST

There was a similar reaction to the reds vs brumbies all aussie grudge match. I think he is actually quite a knowledgeable referee but he doesn't seem to have the guts to make the big calls in pressure situations/ games and lacks the ability to control it in general. That was very obvious in...

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

I just hope that it doesnt put doubt in his mind. Barnesy doesn't strike me as that kind of bloke though. This was the issue for me from the start though, Deans is relying on a reputation and we simply haven't seen that much of Berricckkkk this year.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

When you say 'lately' he only played one or two tests last year didnt he? You're talking about the fact that he hasn't played much recently as well, so is it really fair to gauge him on efforts 2 years ago? He's changed quite a bit since then. The problem is that our coach is (planning) to...

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

When announcing the squad he was asked about McCabe and spoke as though he had him pencilled in until the injury... In another interview he spoke about McCabes faster than expected recovery and the fact he would be in strong contention for the final 6.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

I think it's interesting that people concentrate solely on his efforts at the world cup when he had a ball running inside centre for the majority of the tournament. I completely agree that he was a liability in NZ but if you watch his games at flyhalf in games before that and in 2010, you would...

Waratahs Crusaders Friday 31st May 5:40pm AEST

I can't believe this but I agree with you qwerty. If I had to choose anyone to kick that penalty it would've been Barnes (australians that is). I reckon he rushed it but I think that's his tactic as well, dont get too caught up in the pressure.

Sh*t I wouldve put serious money on him to get that.
