I don't understand why a bit of rain stops club games, how are we ever supposed to compete with the Kiwi's if we don't learn to play in wet conditions? Protecting the grass on the field is a poor excuse, grass recovers from all kinds of abuse. When I was a kid playing in the wet was the most fun!

Has to be Davies, Toua has had two shots at it this year & did not take his chances. Apparently most of the injured crew are due back in the next couple of weeks.

Agree Tranquility, he's had great impact & is a solid contributer around the paddock. Still needs work on scrum technique but he seems to be improving there in my eyes.

I think we might see Beau back on the bench for Butler, if not for the Chiefs then the Brumbies. He should bring a lot more impact to the team.

And from my observations I thought he did more in that 15 or so minutes than Butler did with his 50 odd minutes. Maybe what Browning did stood out more than Butler's contributions, but that's how I saw it. Don't know whats funny about it? Neither of them disgraced themselves or looked out of...

Scrums have been looking pretty good this year since they got rid of the ridiculous pause command. I'm not even going to touch the idiotic call for two less players :-l Just because someone has "achieved" more than most doesn't make them an expert or correct.

A lot of talk about the Clan at home being a tough proposition. Whilst home ground is always an advantage, a game in Dunedin isn't as imposing as it used to be at the House of Pain. The new stadium is a fantastic facility but takes away the weather advantage for the Highlanders.

Agree, I think Gill missing last night was the key. They have to work hard on holding the ball a bit better though (esp. Shatz) & watch the silly penalties ( Quirk) There is nothing wrong with their work ethic though & they looked great in the first few weeks, Brumbies game aside.

Nah, both him & Shatz have been liabilities the last couple of weeks Tigerland. Hopefully they can pull their heads in & hold the pill & not give away senseless penalties. It's hurting the team atm.

All of what you say is true Cyclo & I don't have a problem with people posting criticism of a game/team if it's constructive. But our ole mate "Happy" just littered this thread with one liner negative comments & that wears a bit thin imo. The Reds probably had about 20-30 minutes of great play...

Agreed! I think he gave away 12 points last night through very poor discipline. I thought Browning didn't look out of place & I expect to hear his name a lot in the coming years.
