In the context above, so do I. Try having a conversation with one though.

RWC Oct 15 2023 1/8 Final Ire vs NZ.

It will depend on how France go. In 2015 when we unexpectedly made the final I seriously had a look at doing a 'hit and run' trip to London. Flights were't an issue, and accommodation was surprisingly reasonable. Further, there were numerous options where I could have sourced a ticket as all...

My bad, I tried to look at the article beforehand but it was paywalled. I was going off my interpretation of it, as BH points out above and I mentioned earlier he also made several sensible comments during the same interview.

That’s all fair, the club/third tier model was just one option and has had mixed reception, it seems a lot of people like it. I don’t like it all that much as it stands but I think it can be modified into something that could work as a precursor to a domestic comp. Anyway, there is no point...

    Wallabies 2023

We have actually gone back up to 9th thanks to Portugal. It doesn’t look like we can get ahead of Argentina no matter what happens next week, but we can finish right on their heels if Wales give them a touch up.

No I’m fully aware of that, he was a non exec on the board and applied for the job presumably because he has ideas to turn things around. I’m not saying he’s definitely the right person, but the fact he got the job is probably an indication of the caliber of the other applicants. What I am...

Oil. Beef. Hooked. Why didn’t we get that Fiji? Kudos to Portugal though, deserved winners and we don’t deserve to go through.

I’m inclined to give Waugh a bit more time before making a judgement, he has inherited this mess just like anyone else would have. I know everyone is focusing on the AFR article of a couple of weeks ago, in particular the ‘GPS day’ thing, but that actual interview that he was quoted from was...

I think Fiji (likely) v England has potential to be a great spectacle. Whoever wins it probably won’t go any further but in itself it could be a good watch.

If it was Cameron, Raelene and Dave people would be saying the same thing. And if it’s 3 new shiny different people, people will be saying the same thing. It does take the right people, I will concede that, but how do we know who said right people are? More importantly I would say is all the...

I’d love for Fiji to come out and tear England a new one in the quarters. However I fear we can expect an all home nations officiating panel for that fixture - they might give an antipodean a token touchie gig so it’s not so obvious.

I was thinking about this as well - in terms of the high performance alignment that the centralised model is designed to bring, from a geographical perspective RA don’t need both NSW and ACT on board, but it does need one of them. If one of the two abstains and the other 3 franchises are on...

I reckon hijack the whole region if they are going to do it. They already have Penrith, Blue Mountains would probably be hardest to get on board as they won Kentwell this year, but I suspect they have been beneficiaries of Penrith playing in the ACT comp. There would be a bit of inequality...

I understand both of your points. I wasn't actually meaning to create a club to play in the ACT comp, I was thinking more along the lines of splitting the (say) 8 westernmost clubs off to play each other in a regional zone comp that is governed by the Brumbies. Pfitzy could interject here, but...

Sorry my bad. Illawarra didn't turn up to the senior country champs the last couple of times but I believe it was just the distance to Tamworth made it hard to get a competitive team to travel, rumours were circulating they were defecting I remember at one stage.
