I blame the 8 minutes we were down to 13 players for it. I was thinking near the end if we scored again how accurate the markets prediction was. I’ll blame the same 8 minutes for that too.

Is there a ‘sky blue and white rugby’ forum you can hang out on instead? Even Italy scored 2 tries v the All Blacks in that drubbing. We didn’t play very well and had to take a few risks to ensure we got the bonus point. Got maximum points both in terms of the RWC pool and WR (World Rugby) rankings.

Gee that crowd was hostile. Definitely an away game for us. A poor (likely) end to our year although we achieved the objective of a bonus point win to keep our RWC pulse alive. I wouldn’t write Portugal off v Fiji, they have a crack. What was the score when our 4ths played Portugal? Quite...

Hopefully one of these benefactors has enough money to get Nathan Cleary. He’s properly the answer to our #10 issues. Bring his old man into the fold too.

For the punters among us - the line for the margin is currently 26.5 pts. The line for the total points scored 58.5 pts. If you do the maths on that the implied score is 42-16. I can't see any way Portugal score 16 points and I don't see us scoring less than 50. The line at 26.5 is a low risk...

I'm a bit Switzerland on the Tomthumb v Bullrush thing. Super Rugby Pacific is fine as long as we are competitive and is probably a better player development competition in that scenario. But at the moment we need eyes on screens and bums on seats, and Super Rugby AU or another domestic comp...

Absolutely. The best fitness is match fitness, and our players don't play enough as it is. Resting players made no sense considering the schedule. And then our two most important players get injured at lineout practice anyway. At least it's only a World Cup year thing - currently at least.

We have to get a bonus point tonight and then Portugal have to beat Fiji next week and Fiji not get a bonus point. I doubt they will be going full on at training next week, put it that way.

There is a bit of speculation around that Nicola Forrest might come to the rescue. Twiggy has favoured the West historically as that is where he is from, but Nicola is a massive supporter of the game and is from Central West NSW.

Yeah the forward pass, at least award the try and go upstairs to check, it wasn't obviously forward. It may have been forward but it at least deserved to be looked at like every other try. And then about 20 bombed tries as well.

Absolutely, but not all. Sua’ali’i was ID’d by Kings when he was playing junior rugby at Eastwood (they have a close association with Kings), but the Bunnies had their eye on him as well and they started picking up the tab later. Crichton was always going to go to Scots, my understanding with...

The longest of long bows I would suggest. Dan, yes they were good but us Aussies aren’t really in the mood to praise good performances from our enemies, we‘re all too busy on other threads trying to find solutions to our woes.

You’re going to be a long term stalwart on here, I can just tell already.

Looking at that list I wonder what they will call it. Surely not the Frizzell Law. The Savea Law or Ardie‘s Law probably has the best ring about it. (I realise it depends who they use it on)

    Wallabies 2024

Yes it certainly feels like that right now. I don’t know how many of the Welsh side are hanging up the boots but I suspect there will be a few. Barring the mass exodus that the loig media are banging on about I would expect our side to be favourites at home. The RC/Bledisloe will be business...

How is it any different to any other year except that our NH touring team is (currently) lower in the world rankings than the last few? I think at least every country will be in some degree of rebuild mode following the RWC?

    RWC Pool C - Australia v Wales - 5AM 25 Sep AEST

I listened to the GBR podcast yesterday, they didn’t spend much time on the game but they referred specifically to the chip and chase try Anscombe scored and they (like the rest of us) couldn’t work out what Kellaway et al were doing. The musical chairs Cheika used to do was about using the...
