Re the whole Foley v Cooper, I think this is a legitimate, fair discussion we should be having. Foley has generally played well and I dont begrudge his selection. He is a different player to Cooper and has had a great year. I dont mind his selection as our starting 10 and having Foley and...

    England v Australia

To me its not about demanding selection. We still don't really have a great idea on whether the wallabies are better off under Cooper or better off under Foley. It is at least worthwhile considering the following:- 1. Who is our most experienced test no.10? 2. between Foley and Cooper, which...

    England v Australia

I thought Skelton was much better last week. He was very aggressive with ball in hand. made a few half breaks. More of the same needed this week. I note that they moved him to the LH Lock position when he comes on. Smart decision. They are obviously well aware that his technique in the scrum is...

Yes well the selection of Beale ahead of guys who were on tour originally and didn't even get a look in really just fanned the flames of speculation that Cheika prefers to choose his NSW players.

    England v Australia

What about Foley's recent form has been so great that last year's incumbent shouldn't get a look in? 1 win from the last 6 tests!! Again I'm not saying that either Foley or Cooper is better. I like both as an option. I'm just surprised / disappointed that we haven't seen Cooper start once given...

?? By that system wouldn't Foley be -7 after 124 minutes? how is that better. Are you saying Cooper shouldn't get a shot at 10 because he's not coming on and saving those games from the losing position Foley had us in.

    England v Australia

Why is it that people who want Cooper to play 5/8 have to be Qlders.
  9. BDA

    England v Australia

I'm not saying its out of the question, I'm simply saying that the fact that Cooper didn't get 1 chance to start this tour suggests Cheika has made his mind up that he currently prefers Foley. Given that we've lost 5 from our last 6 I would have thought Cooper should at least get a look in.

    England v Australia

Not impossible but ridiculously unlikely. Foley will start next year's test season at 10. I'd almost bet my house on it. Foley's form would have to be woeful for Cooper to become Cheika's first choice. Foley's recent form has been average and that apparently is not enough to get Cooper a look in.

    England v Australia

We have now lost 2 games on the trot with Foley at 5/8. Actually we've lost 5 of our last 6 tests with Foley at 5/8. Clearly he has not been killing it. Cooper looked quality off the bench against both France and Ireland. not sure I'd agree that he hasn't "shown the form to warrant displacing...

    England v Australia

Yeah I agree he is a part of the plan. I think some people are just complaining because they would have liked to have seen Cooper given at least 1 test this year to show what he offers instead of Foley. I'm one of those people, which is in no way a slight on Foley, who I think has been generally...

Not really the same is it. Was Cooper available? no.. Pretty sure Horne was only chosen because we had literally 0 genuine wingers available.

Remember Mighty Ducks 2, when Emilio Estevez gets the team to come out after half time wearing the Ducks Jerseys, rather than the National Jerseys. that
  15. BDA

    England v Australia

hardly. He's sat on the bench for the majority of the tour. He's still yet to be given the reigns.
  16. BDA

    England v Australia

If he selects Beale on the bench again I'm leaning towards 2.
  17. BDA

    England v Australia

Agree with others. The McMahon selection seems to be just playing into the hands of the English. We need big forwards that are strong in the set piece, instead we go with McMahon who has been really ineffective so far this tour. One can only imagine the plan is to play up tempo, but I doubt it...

If Cooper was MOTM we would surely win the game

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

i would think it will almost certainly still be shown live on fox sports, particularly because 10 will only want to air the big aussie derbies and what not. I imagine the idea is fox will air the game live on a friday night and then 10 will air it the next morning when it wont clash with any of...
