Can Cheika ball work for the Wallabies?

http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-union/waratahs/michael-cheika-targets-michael-foley-for-key-wallabies-job-20150210-13az5j.html that seems to be what Cheika wants. I really hope Foley gets on board. From memory, the last time the Wallabies scrum dominated on a trip to the Northern Hemisphere was...

    S15 Rd 1 - Brumbies v Reds, Friday 13th February

Yeh I doubt the word "tryfest" will be an apt description of this game. I suspect the Brumbies will become tighter than a fishes butthole, but I hope I'm wrong. firepower galore out wide.

He appears to have put on a bit of bulk since then too. That can only help.

    S15 Rd 1 - Brumbies v Reds, Friday 13th February

Cant wait for kick off this Friday. Taking on the Brumbies at Canberra is one of the tougher assignments in Super Rugby. Hopefully we see the two teams come out with attacking intent, because both sides have real firepower in the backs. I suspect the Brumbies will play territory and try to...

    Six Nations 2015

It seems to me that Lancaster has already decided on the style of football he wants England to play (at least for the world cup) and it basically revolves around playing the percentages, as you say. try to dominate the set piece and lots of up-and-under's. basically boot it unless your in the...

    Any update on Sef?

Reds V Crusaders Friday 6th Feb - Ballymore

Wouldn't be surprised if CFS takes a while to find form. When you've been interrupted by injury as many times as he has, you need a prolonged period of fitness to hit your stride

    Reds 2015

I thought hunt looked great, but he really didn't show enough to make me think that he is best used at 5/8. awesome defense, tough in contact, good boot. He did a good job in a position he hasn't yet mastered. I'd put him at fullback. Play JOC (James O'Connor) at 5/8; we have some good alternatives for wing

Reds V Crusaders Friday 6th Feb - Ballymore

 give me a break. The bloke is quite clearly a genuine tackle buster. very hard to stop one on one. He's one of the aussie stars to watch this season i reckon

excellent coverage. really great for the fans that couldn't make it to the game.

Reds V Crusaders Friday 6th Feb - Ballymore

nice win from the Reds. Good defensive work in the second half. Lots of players stood out but for me Genia and kerevi were the pick of the bunch. Genia looks in vintage form. Kerevi is a just a beast. He's really going to light up Suncorp this season

Trial: Waratahs v Chiefs @ Campbelltown, Friday 6 February 2015

yeh but you're at home vs the Force (sans their skipper). Should get up.

Reds V Crusaders Friday 6th Feb - Ballymore

I'm really hoping they mic a bit of the crowd noise for the stream. I realise that's unlikely but it would really add to the watching experience to capture some of the atmosphere at the ground.

    Aussie Player Exodus

I reckon it wont be until the wallabies slump to about 6th or 7th in the world ranking that the ARU will give serious consideration to selecting offshore talent. Might be too late by then.

Reds V Crusaders Friday 6th Feb - Ballymore

I got the impression from Graham that JOC (James O'Connor) wasn't coming into calculations due to his ilness. any news? I'm assuming he's on the bench option at best.

    Reds 2015

Based on Graham's comments I believe he probably would have opted to start JOC (James O'Connor) at 10 if he was available. Looking forward to seeing how Hunt goes at 10. Hopefully Duncan can come on at half time and show that he deserves game time.

    Wallaby Locks

I'd call McCalman a certainty, but otherwise agree. I think Skelton and Higgers are probably the most likely additions but Jones and even Dennis are in with a shot if they can demonstrate that they are genuinely versatile (6/lock).

    Reds 2015

True, but from memory the Reds didn't win that many games that season. They lacked experience, amongst other things. I want us to be finalists, not spoilers.

    Reds 2015

@ Ignoto - a few points in response to your post. 1. Having a decent 10 to lead the team around is much more important than having a world class bloke on the wing...unquestionably. 2. In their present state, you'd pick James over Duncan every day of the week, in terms of the better option at...
