Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Yeh the battle for the number 6 jersey was impressive. Both Cottrell and McMahon were superb. Fardy was good too. I actually thought young Lawrie Weeks was the best THP. the Rebel scrum looked uncharacteristically strong against the Saders before he was subbed off. Here's hoping he's going to...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

So much for the Pocock v Hooper debate.. Pocock looks to be injured indefinitely

Reds v Force 2015 Super Rugby Rd 2

The Hunt at 10 experiment should end. JOC (James O'Connor) to 10. Hunt at Fullback and ANT to replace CFS. That should give us a pretty solid backline. Hopefully the injection of Thomson into the pack should add some much needed enthusiasm. The Reds really need to address their attitude to win this game...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Let's just take it one week at a time. I like to think I'm going to be as unbiased as possible in determining which player has been the better 7 by season's end. I'll admit I'm a Pocock mark, but if Hooper outplays Pocock I think most people will recognise. He has just as many fans as detractors...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I thought Pocock was super effective for the Brumbies on defence. He put so much pressure on the reds breakdown and on Hunt. I really think we will be having a big debate over the next 4 months as to what is more important for the Wallabies: Hooper's running game or Pocock's defensive game.

    Also after round 1:- Pocock - 1 Hooper - 0 :D

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Well my comment was tongue in cheek. But, I'm not a fan of Beale and I'd say Cheika rates him a lot higher than I do. Part of it is his character, the other part his game. I'd describe him as a bit "flaky". Great attacking player but just not well rounded; he's a weak defender and prone to bad...

    Reds 2015

i agree. and we should be letting the team know that this shit isnt good enough. It wasn't so much that the Reds were getting outplayed, it was more the way they just gave up in the second half. Horwill was one of the worst offenders.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Part of me wants the Waratahs to have an average season just so Cheika cant justify selecting Beale. (Sorry tah fans)

    Reds 2015

I think a lot of you are getting a bit carried away. It's the first game of the season. I've seen a lot of teams in a lot of sports turn around much worse seasons than this. I remember in 2009, going to watch the Parramatta Eels get beaten by a very average Titans side at Skilled park. The eels...

    S15 Rd 1 - Brumbies v Reds, Friday 13th February

If I'm not mistaken he had a fairly slow start to the season last year (that's promising :)) ...though by the end of the year, he was the World's best outside centre :( (not so promising)

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Good news on the broadcast agreement! Re the foxtel subscription, I pay $60 per month ($10 extra for HD). I predominantly get foxtel for Super Rugby, but I do enjoy the extra content (NRL, NBA, NFL, etc). Also, as a massive sports fan I'm offended by free to air's coverage of major sporting...

    S15 Rd 1 - Brumbies v Reds, Friday 13th February

It's really the coach factor more than anything. Back when Link was coach, you would look at this line up and think, the reds will win this. With Graham you just have a feeling that the end product will be a shambles. With that said, I thought the team looked excellent last week so lets hope...

    S15 Rd 1 - Brumbies v Reds, Friday 13th February

Alexander's form took a major nose dive in 2014. He looks a shelf of the player he once was, whereas Slipper is a world class LHP.

    S15 Rd 1 - Brumbies v Reds, Friday 13th February

?? probably the one area the Reds should have a clear advantage. The Reds front row has come a long way in the last three seasons. If Alexander hasn't found some form in the off season Slipper will likely dominate him.

    S15 Rd 1 - Brumbies v Reds, Friday 13th February

Man that Reds team is disappointing. Why no Adam Thomson? He's by all accounts fit. Also the absence of JOC (James O'Connor) and Ant is worrying. The Brumbies 10 to 14 looks solid as fuck. CFS is a worry; the bloke is struggling for form. Not sure if I can identify any area the Reds have an advantage. I...

    S15 Rd 1 - Brumbies v Reds, Friday 13th February

To'omua is a lock for the wallabies squad in my opinion. Hunt is an outside chance but surely not at the expense of To'omua. To'omua was basically our best player against England, I doubt Cheika will have forgotten that, especially since he's our best option to shut down a rampaging Tuilagi. I...
