Super Rugby Rd 3: Brumbies v Waratahs in Canberra

They have been watching du Pont play 10 from 9 and thought f*ck it, lets see if we can make it work

Super Rugby Rd 3: Brumbies v Waratahs in Canberra

I hope we do win But the ponies pigs are too well drilled & they have the brains to take all the points, play territory & maul us into the ground And the Tahs have too many forward injuries already; and still think in the middle of a flood, rugby is about entertainment

Super Rugby Rd 3: Brumbies v Waratahs in Canberra

Ponies are a couple of years ahead in squad development, limiting a blowout is all we can expect

    Waratahs 2022

Yep our 10 didn't trust his outsides to catch and pass

Super Rugby Rnd 2: Waratahs v Reds AKA The 2022 Festival of Hate.

He just doesn't have much upside, his "best" is a mediocre passing grade at best. Beale isn't error free, but his upside is test standard not mediocre Super Rugby level

Super Rugby Rnd 2: Waratahs v Reds AKA The 2022 Festival of Hate.

I thought he was average on Saturday, he is solid and enthusiastic but lacks any threat. And at this level he needs to be error free, all the time to be first choice And we have an upgrade coming, Beale will be there next season

Yeah Newsome is a place holder with 15 a spot in need of an upgrade

Super Rugby Rnd 2: Waratahs v Reds AKA The 2022 Festival of Hate.

We need that second playmaker, if the centres are somewhat settled, but both are basically ball runners, then Harrison at 10 and Donaldson at 15 is logical

Super Rugby Rnd 2: Waratahs v Reds AKA The 2022 Festival of Hate.

Meh, Well done reds, they solved the problems on the night, the Tahs didn't I was concerned after the first decision to not take the points on a wet, miserable night And is there anything more boring than the pigs going nose down from one metre out?

It is a building site - it is being redeveloped https://www.canadabay.nsw.gov.au/council/vision-and-projects/major-development-projects/redevelopment-of-concord-oval

    Waratahs 2022

Nah, France are very good and likely RWC winners/favourites But being good enough to play 15 for the Wobs, well, that is a lower level. We can have solid, safe units who kick long or someone a bit more of a threat I don't know if he will be up to it or not, but the bar isn't that high

He was definitely targeted last week and didn't really react like a lunatic

    Waratahs 2022

Form? We will see, but he has been doing well in France (which a much higher standard than Super Rugby AU - I don't think the issue with the drop ins was anything more than cohesion issues, they just need time to work on structures while building trust that they know where units will be) and Beale got...

    Waratahs 2022

Our previous coach made him captain with the logic of the time being he is a good talker and a needed defensive organiser Two inexperienced wingers may have made his selection all about balance and organisation

    Waratahs 2022

An inform Beale, even at nearly 50yro, is better than what we rolled out last season for the wobs None are what you would call nailed in quality test players So yes At super level? better than the lot of them My concern is for Donaldson & Harrison, Beale is likely to start at 15 so one...

    Waratahs 2022

Back to rugby So the Tahs seems to have changed a few things More support from depth as opposed from keeping width Better attitude in defence (not difficult) And the attacking maul, Pauli Taumoepeau has them now doing what I call the long caterpillar maul as opposed to the scrum version

Super Rugby Rnd 1: Waratahs v Drua

and then the tahs spread it, drop it or do a shit kick .................................................
