Super Rugby Rnd 1: Waratahs v Drua

As long as we don't play a lot of rugby we should be OK Turnovers and loose play will be death Kick it into the stands, maul, maul, pick and drive, kick it into the stands Repeat

    Reds Vs Tahs pre-season trial, Roma 12/02/22 @ 7:30pm

So after a lunch time watch of the highlights, Pretty hard to compare, Tahs started with the "a", reds finished with their "a" Tahs counter ruck and attitude in defence was much better Tahs backs were doing more pop passes and loops close to the advantage line than I have seen for a while -...

Nice to see Horton playing well again

    Reds Vs Tahs pre-season trial, Roma 12/02/22 @ 7:30pm

Has all the talent but his challenge is staying healthy, he has missed a lot of rugby through being wounded
  7. fatprop

    Wallabies 2023

He is a decent size and plays flat at the line, so another unicorn, but not a wob

    Wallabies 2023

Yep, and not NRC standard, full pro stuff (I watched Smith play quite badly for Quinns 2019) - but that is been the same for 20 years for aus players, they just don't play enough rugby from schoolboy onwards

    Wallabies 2023

Why? Ntamack and Marcus Smith are both the same age at 22, they seem to be able to get it done

    Northern Hemisphere Rugby

Not many, the commentators described the Aus touring side as a "B" side France are looking really good for the RWC, they have quality young backs and massive, angry pigs interspersed with dynamic units The commentators said the side was average age of 25

I have the same concerns about Roberts but the majority on here are excited about the added experience etc ........................

    Waratahs 2022

    No rugby ..............

    Waratahs 2022

A current test player with deep roots to the club vs a guy who was behind Muirhead & Wright
  14. fatprop

    Waratahs 2022

Mate, we could have 10 sides and this would still happen, and really, it was highly unlikely he was going to be a Wob any time soon - he hadn't even nailed down a ponies starting spot

    Waratahs 2022

OK, a young fringe super rugby player gets a base offer to stay (all he deserved) but was offered a better contract to play pro rugby o/s Why is this is a problem? Good luck to the guy

    Super Rugby 2022

Like running a load of backrowers instead of "club standard props" when uncontested scrums are required
  17. fatprop

    Waratahs 2022

Topo became a wob, the others were/are tourists/mercenaries
  18. fatprop

    Waratahs 2022

Not his "best form", the ability to demonstrate the form to deserve a starting spot
  19. fatprop

    Waratahs 2022

He has to still have to earn his spot on current form, and he hasn't looked like a Lions centre for a long, long time So what are you buying? I just don't see the value in a team elderly mentor
