Thanks, Admin.
I had this long winded response to the non committment of funds to club rugby but my son deleted it. Anyway it went something like this. It really annoys me that whenever I log onto this sit that the majority would rathervisit the grassroots section and talk about the standout No7 in the 16as...
My point was referring to the fact that none of the players from Tasmania or Sth Australia get a chance against the best opposition if the Combined States team is picked before the Division2 completion. I think it was better when the Combined States included players solely from those...
According to the Manly Daily Cipriani and Gerrard for the Rats. I wonder if Lipman and Pyle are also available?
Manly better SOS their rockstars or the Rats might do the unthinkable and win a game.
Alot of those guys surely will be involved in tri nations and world cup buildup. And some of the info is just plain wrong an example being Cummins to Randwick. It will be interesting to see the team lists on the NSWRu or Rugby News sites at the end of the week.
The competition is about to go...
The development tours shit me in one way, but they are the players primary source of income so I can understand why they might be necessary. I just dont hink this is the right time for them. Surely they could find another time as playing in the Shute Shield will help in their development. Also...
I just spoke to an ARU development manager and he tells me that it is definitely the Rebels. That said I think JOC (James O'Connor) changes his mind on the hour every hour.
I was under the impression the Tigers extended his contract due to his outstanding play in the Aviva Premiership. Also is Rodney Ma'a injured as I haven't noticed his name in any team lists for a while now.
Jordan Meredith from CCC who also happens to be a very talented cricketer and SG Ball player from Manly is worth a look. He has been playing rugby for years so he doesn't play it like a league player and has pedigree as a 16s rep for either NSW schools or Sydney at the Aust Champs in 2009.
I will say it again for those who are new. Not every schoolboy rep team has a selector attached to it. Therefore they have nobody pushing for them come selection time.
Manly will have Fairbrother, Peterson, Jones, Hooper, Woodhouse, Du Plessis, Metuisela, Swanepoel, Coleman, T. Smith, A.Smith, Hartmann, Sigg from injury, S15 and 20s WC in the next month.
Cusitor is back with the Scots. I think the Wallabies extended squad will also mean no Timani, Douglas, Samo, and Horne. If you have a look at the SMH team player ratings all those with the exception of Horne are in the projected Wallaby squad. And surely Horne will make a very large squad.
Alot of those will be tied up with extended Wallaby squads and then the final squad. How about one of you Uni supporters filling out a team sheet with Wallaby probables missing. By all means chuck in some possibles for final squad but there is no way for instance that some of those guys will be...
A player from CCC could score 50 points in the game at Knox against his opponent who dropped every ball and missed every tackle and that player if he was a player from CAS or GPS and the guy from CCC would still be ranked behind the other guy. This is because the selection process is flawed...
