2016 Under-20 Rugby World Championships - Manchester UK

The Big Reds discipline record in Super Rugby, and NRC is OK isn't it? Not sure too much can be interpreted from the 4 YC in 6 U20 fixtures at Jnr RWC that would indicate he has discipline issues or is an inherently "dirty" player. He needs to be a little careful that he doesn't develop a...

    Sydney Colts - 2016

I stand by the comments I made at the time I Made the post above. The record has been amended sometime between when I made my observations and now. Someone in the Brook Street Bunker must read G&GR. :) I guess they will amend the round two score one way or another in due course.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2016

No. The "experiment" of U18 colts "shared" with SJRU but played before Colts 3rds on Saturday Morning died a slow death after only one attempt at it in 2015. West Harbour, The Hobbits, Randi-Wix, Gordon and Mighty Two Blues were the clubs that fully embraced the concept. The others sometimes...

    Sydney Colts - 2016

Do they have a problem finding batteries for their calculators at Randi-Wix? In their round 12 Colts 1 fixture against The Mighty Two Blues the score is officially recorded as a 51-5 result. Not surprising as they have been one of the form teams this year, and the M2B haven't. The Official...

    Shute Shield 2016

^^^ Yes. I wondered about the timings. http://rugby.fusesport.com/rugby/results/external/drawresult.asp?comp=10831&OrgID=010100 3's and 4's on the back oval at Forshaw make sense, but it is a bit of a goat track and I've seen the ball hit the power lines crossing the field more than once...

So who was your MOM for Aussie @Brumby Runner? A reviewer for Talking Rugby Union (Lewis Hughes) liked Rodda and Kennewell putting them in their Team of the Day, and included Jack Maddocks in their Standout Performers of the day...

Wallabies v England, Sat 11th June, 8.00pm, Suncorp Brisbane

Is there time for another orchestrated furore over Illegal Scrummaging from the Soap Dodgers? Read more: http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-union/australia-rugby/wallabies-v-england-2016-australia-will-try-every-trick-to-gain-the-advantage-over-england-20160606-gpcia5.html#ixzz4Azju5849

John I. Dent Cup 2016 - ACT Premier Rugby

Only Country because ARU refused to allow an International Transfer to NZL for the ITM Cup (Southland Stags IIRC) while NRC was on, and the Vikings NRC roster was full, and NSW Country Eagles wasn't.

Wallabies v England, Sat 11th June, 8.00pm, Suncorp Brisbane

Will Vunipola scrum any straighter than Pythagorus #ScrumStraightJoe Marler? Will there be a spidercam at Suncorp to measure the illegal angles of the Soap Dodger Front Row, and to monitor the illegal binding of their loose forwards on their props not locks?

    Shute Shield 2016

According to the NSW Premiership web site the deferred games will be played as follows: Hobbits v Pirates on 14 June at 1800 (1st Grade) lower grades on Forshaw 2. Randi-Wix v M2B on 13 June at 1500 (1st Grade) MMM v Beasts on TBC (probs 13 June as per post above) Rats v Emu (Lower Grades...

    Sydney Colts - 2016

Looks like these games will be played on the evening of the 14th according to the Shute Shield Competition draw. Have MMM forfeited their Colts 2 and Colts 3 matches against the beasties? There is a 28-0 scoreline up on the web site for those games. Hobbits v Pirates and Rats v Emus...

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

I think NEW have struggled to fill to their max class intake in recent times when their Rugby team was performing poorly in AAGPS competition. With recent Rugby success they are now full, with a waiting list. Tin foil hat says cause and effect.

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

New now has a waiting list. Perhaps the marketing via the enrollment anomalies winning rugby premierships has been a wise business strategy. Educationally - time will tell.

I thought it was Reverend Green in the library with the knife, but it could have been Mrs White in the Study with the rope. :)

2016 Under-20 Rugby World Championships - Manchester UK

Going further back from October and the Born in 1996 cohort were all playing in an 18 round colts or Grade competition, with some of them getting time in NRC. Some lads bypassed some previously decorated Schoolboys in the pecking order through that process. Yes we need to get more players at...

2016 Under-20 Rugby World Championships - Manchester UK

The NSW Gen Blue selection process started back in October 2015 with about 60-70 players from across the Class of 2015 and "born in 1996" players from All the Sydney Colts Clubs. There were plenty of players in that later group that were not decorated schoolboy players with all the right boxes...

2016 Under-20 Rugby World Championships - Manchester UK

^^^^ We are getting good at it. I am fairly sure that the average Jock and the Jock media act with a lot more grace in their far too common victories over us than those of "Proud Edwards Army".

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2016

There are plenty of young men born in 1997 who are not attending Private Schools and are experiencing their rugby in the U20 Colts Competition run by NSW Premiership Rugby. In that competition the young men aged 17 years are playing "proper" rugby and are not constrained by Under 19 Laws...
