    Rnd 18: Brumbies v Reds

Spoken like a true Queenslander, haha. Rugby in the freezing cold is the best rugby.

Rd 18: Rebels Vs Chiefs - AAMI Park, Friday 14/06 7:45pm

I don't think he was really given a choice, hands on the scales from on high and all that meant the Brumbies were never going to be allowed to retain him. More of a lament than a regret on his part, I imagine.

Debateable. I think most saw the potential there, but the nonsense with Force and then with Quade made the Rebels cut him loose.

DHP needs to get himself subbed so he stops playing himself out of Wallabies contention.

Rd 18: Rebels Vs Chiefs - AAMI Park, Friday 14/06 7:45pm

Namibia played better against the All Blacks than the Rebels are playing against a Chiefs team with a losing record this season.

People who don't value Hooper are morons, but I don't blame people for asking if we're better with him or with Pocock. Used to be Pocock v Smith, then it was Smith v Waugh, etc.

We've been losing players overseas forever. I'm sad to lose Kerevi but I see the future in our next generation. Now let's just make sure we don't lose them.......

    Brumbies 2020

Then why did Brown get two years?

    Brumbies 2020

Why are we doing this? It's really going to suck when half the team leaves at the end of next year.

    Reds 2020

Went for ~25% because of the incremental rise to $1mil.

    Reds 2020

~25% pay rise isn't necessarily enough to head overseas, especially when Wallabies match payments and results bonuses aren't included in the Aussie offer. Is this just an experience thing, is there some kind of tax benefit?

    Brumbies 2020

I think they're perfectly happy to give Christian time to decide. See if he's called up for the Wallabies and see how it affects his desire to play next year. As long as he decides before preseason, we're fine.

    Rnd 18: Brumbies v Reds

I know Speight is a Brumbies fan favourite, but he has not been up to his historic standard since 2017, and I'm perfectly fine with Muirhead starting ahead of him for any reason. I know this is his first pro season, but Wright needs to commit to a position if he wants to nail a starting spot in...

    Highlanders VS Tahs

Gutted to not be able to see Roff 2.0 in the final game. Clan probably won't make the finals unless they get the winning BP and the Cheifs win without one, so it's a sad end to the season: no Pocock, no Smuth. Anyway, go for your life, Mason, I'll be wishing you well.

    Rnd 18: Brumbies v Reds

Looking for us to make a statement before playoff football. Start a few prospects (Lonergan, Ikitau, Swain, Ross), nil the opposition, that kind of thing.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

The Waratahs showed how well simple can unlock a good defence as well: the AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) try came from drawing defenders, running an angle, and making a short kick behind when the fullback was out of position. Simple, simple stuff. Ryan Crotty isn't amazing because he's the best at the world in one...

    Brumbies 2020

Les is gone, otherwise I’d be happy to keep him! I’m just concerned about us tying ourselves to an inadequate replacement. One injury to AAA next year and suddenly the starting THP for the defending Aussie champions is best known for conceding a massive number of penalties at scrum time in the...

Also, if able, we should replace Les Makin with Shambeckler Vui. He only signed for the Tahs for two years and has been stuck behind Kepu and Johnson-Holmes, which is no insult. I'm yet to be convinced by Ross, particularly after his horror NRC season last year.

    Brumbies 2020

If we lose Kuridrani, I'll be gutted. He's my favourite player. While I have a lot of hope for Ikitau, it's just not reasonable to assume that he can step up and fill the boots of one of the top three 13s in the world. Edit: Wayne Smith reporting the following: Source...
