Do you have an available Nurse to sort it out?

I’m not familiar with a lot of those names, but there doesn’t appear to be a single ex-league player amongst their staff. We definitely got this!!!

    Gee - tough crowd.

Your right. When I read it the first time I missed the word young. For some reason I assumed ‘exciting’ would mean an older, accomplished player to add to the mix. Singing another young gun is nothing but good news IMO. Unless it’s Payne Haas in which case I really don’t know how I’d feel.

Yeah - it’s an odd one. Wilson, McReight, Wright & Uru give us combination, class and flexibility. And they are all still young and improving. Getting a good player is always a good thing, as is building depth, but getting a class lock or two would seem a significantly higher priority.

Do you know if there is any chance he would consider a stint OS to broaden his experience? Would love to see him back at the Reds one day given he is a local guy who seems a genuine coaching talent but it also seems to me that our coaching pipeline benefits from exposure to other environments...

My memory might be off but I thought Schoup, Faessler & Nonggorr were pretty solid at the end. And I think they had Frost & Hooper behind them

Apparently Langi Gleeson is a gun goal kicker.

Yes - so far it’s been Narrabri twice & Roma once because both of those centres already had a 7s comp at the start of Feb that were already sponsored by Santos. Edit: actually I’m not 100% sure Narrabri already had a 7s carnival, but they’ve hosted twice and I remember speaking to the...

I’d assume (Hope) Festival of Rugby will continue in Roma. Santos was already a sponsor of the Roma 7s before the Festival of a rugby started. The just re-badged the Roma 7s a bit to put it all together.

Which 5/8 should he have developed? It’s worth noting that he got more out of Cooper at 10 than anyone at test level. The rest of them were kids in nappies - only one of whom had any level of super rugby experience to support him being up to test footy. But, ultimately, he wasn’t. And who was...

If we are really going down this path then the last really, consistently successful Wallabies coach was Rod McQueen. So maybe it is all Eddie’s fault.

Personally I think it’s very rough to blame Rennie. He didn’t create this problem. He was just unsuccessful in solving it.

I know what you’re saying but from the comments I heard from Jones that is very much part of his rationale.

    Wallabies 2023

I dunno - it didn’t seem that mystical to me. When interviewed his comments seemed to indicate that he was going to back himself to get more out of the next generation rather than persist with those who have been there and come up short before. He also made some comments which I took to...

Of course he could. And, for what it’s worth, I think he should have got a gig. But he did get first chance. He has had every opportunity to lock down a spot and he’s come up short as far as Jones is concerned.

Sure - but are any of those guys actually hard done by?

    Wallabies 2023

So far his captains have been Slipper, Hooper, Ala'alatoa & McDermott. Only one of those was ever going to play 80 minutes so I don’t think it’s a real factor. Interestingly thought with Skelton & McDermott C & VC it’s likely neither will be on at the end.

Ikitau & Ala'alatoa obviously would’ve been there if fit. There is a case for Wright, Neville & Lonergan but none of those three could feel too hard done by.
